Bill,
I am a bit puzzled by your puzzling.
We are getting the word out here on the forum, as well as in the LA area. I am willing to bet that most of our participants will be coming from the LA area, so I think it's good to put the focus here. We have been promoting at Mad Max screenings in LA and we are planning on doing more marketing here with 4x6 postcards which are being designed by a forum member, Morrisminor, and which God willing will feature a couple of hot model chicks, including Masuimi Max.
In addition to this forum & LA, we obviously have a big presence on MySpace. I'm thinking that's probably the main source of participants right now. I have also set up a page on Facebook. We were just talking a couple of weeks ago about paying for advertising on those sites.
As for your Yahoo group, I have been a member myself for years and I know other members have discussed the event and I have posted information when I saw fit. I think it's being taken care of. I frankly don't see any reason for Scarlett to join. She knows you guys trust me. I am happy to be her liaison to the hardcore fans, and I am happy to free her up so she can focus on other things.
As for Justice's forum - I actually am not aware of it. I'm assuming there aren't a lot of new faces there?
I also keep a list of close to 100 fans to notify them of new events.
Of course a great way to advertise this event is to take the advertising into your own hands. Scarlett has posted fliers, banners and videos for all you guys to disseminate. I've even done an overhaul of the RWWE webpage on RoadwarUSA.com recently and have the video, banner & flier up there - AND the code to embed it into your website, MySpace, e-mails, etc. Here's the page:

I'm not going to respond anymore to comments about her not replying to e-mails fast enough. I have talked to her about the complaints it is getting, and she understands. She's made a lot of progress. She spent a lot of long nights getting through and replying to all of the e-mails from the last several months, but more come every day. Everyone's just going to have to grow up and deal with it. The closer we get to this event, the more time and focus we will put on it. If anyone needs to e-mail someone, e-mail me. I have a lot more free time on my hands.
As I've stated before, we don't have any thoughts of backing out of this event. We are committed. As far as I'm concerned, we are past the point of no return. We have many tickets sold, people have purchased airplane tickets, we've confirmed Vern & Virginia. We have already put a good amount of time into this event. And we also really want to see this event happen! Scarlett just said recently that she want to start kicking prep into high gear. We are trying to work out a good time to have a meeting at the event location. We may meet as soon as this week.
Virginia Hey is just a small fraction of the costs of this event. The heavy costs only motivate us to try harder to get people out. Instead of being pessimistic, we are hopeful and are taking charge and making it happen. We are constantly overwhelmed by the sense of how awesome this event will be!
Bill, I am all for free speech, but honestly, we can't keep doing this. In the future, just drop me a line privately. Please try to have some faith and let us do the worrying for you.
If you have some constructive criticism, I'm all ears. Would it help to send out detailed updates on a regular basis so you can keep track of our weekly thoughts and progress? Maybe not knowing what's going on is making you worry?
