I haven't heard of any problems with it. I have checked it in IE and Firefox and it seems to work fine.
Are you actually clicking the "Buy Now" button after you select the option?

Looks like it's a problem in Safari. I used Firefox and it went through just fine. I've ordered my tickets!

In Safari the buy button doesn't even show up. Don't know how many of us Safari using Mac folks there are out there, but you may want to look into it at some point. Or not.

Thanks, Jared. I doubt there is much we can do. I think ppl will figure it out.

BTW, in response to Bill's request, Scarlett looked into changing the event date and it was not possible. There were at least a couple people who, believe it or not, had already purchased their plane tickets. Can you believe that? What's up with these people? Get a life! It's only a movie! ;)

Oh well,if there's snow on the passes, the car will get that Road Warrior weathered look.I once drove it back from eastern Oregon down 20 miles of gravel road and the car was almost white with dust and the rims were packed with the stuff.Hopefully fuel prices won't go totally ballistic.I have already started stocking up by filling all of my jeep cans and filling up all my extra vehicles to siphon from later.I just dropped $160.00 for 73 gallons of regular.Time to get some 55 gallon drums and really stock up.Cheers,Bill

Well, Bill, I hope nothing happens to your newly renovated BoB that you don't want to happen to it! You're actually stocking up on gas, eh? Way to go!

Jared: Scarlett informed me of some glitch in the ticket buying system. Apparently some browsers freak out when there are frames on the ticket buying page. It was a quick fix. I'm not sure if it solves the Safari thing, but hopefully it does.

Well, actually, that is good to hear, since I also already made my plans to come. I already got approved for my vacation time and changing it now would not be easy since I had to beg for a few extra days off.

Karol, I am ready to buy 2 tickets. Do I have to buy them individually with 2 Paypal transactions? It seems there is no option to buy more than one ticket at a time, is that correct?

We planned a whole vacation/roadtrip around this event, so I am really looking forward to it!!!

Karol, one thing that is puzzling to me is why the lack of getting this noticed out there.I mean there is advertising ONLY here and with some fliers that are being put out locally to the LA area. Why isn't Scarlet a member of my Yahoo group, getting the message about the event out there? What about Justice's forum?
If she REALLY wants people to attend, and buy tickets to help pay for all this, she needs to get the message out there for all the unwashed masses. They have money also.I have heard that she is just too damn busy to reply to some people who have questions and are even going out of their way to help with videos and stuff. These issues still cause me concern about the reality of the event even happening.
I had heard quite a while ago that Virginia Hey's appearance fee was like $2,000.00,so unless there has been a LOT of ticket sales or her price has drastically dropped, that is another reason for me to doubt.
I really hope that this event happens, but I will remain a doubter until I see some positive action from Scarlett or someone else becomes a co-sponsor and gets this ball really rolling.November is not THAT far off.Cheers,Bill

Bill,
I am a bit puzzled by your puzzling.
We are getting the word out here on the forum, as well as in the LA area. I am willing to bet that most of our participants will be coming from the LA area, so I think it's good to put the focus here. We have been promoting at Mad Max screenings in LA and we are planning on doing more marketing here with 4x6 postcards which are being designed by a forum member, Morrisminor, and which God willing will feature a couple of hot model chicks, including Masuimi Max.

In addition to this forum & LA, we obviously have a big presence on MySpace. I'm thinking that's probably the main source of participants right now. I have also set up a page on Facebook. We were just talking a couple of weeks ago about paying for advertising on those sites.
As for your Yahoo group, I have been a member myself for years and I know other members have discussed the event and I have posted information when I saw fit. I think it's being taken care of. I frankly don't see any reason for Scarlett to join. She knows you guys trust me. I am happy to be her liaison to the hardcore fans, and I am happy to free her up so she can focus on other things.
As for Justice's forum - I actually am not aware of it. I'm assuming there aren't a lot of new faces there?
I also keep a list of close to 100 fans to notify them of new events.

Of course a great way to advertise this event is to take the advertising into your own hands. Scarlett has posted fliers, banners and videos for all you guys to disseminate. I've even done an overhaul of the RWWE webpage on RoadwarUSA.com recently and have the video, banner & flier up there - AND the code to embed it into your website, MySpace, e-mails, etc. Here's the page: http://www.RoadwarUSA.com/rwwe/spreadtheword.htm

I'm not going to respond anymore to comments about her not replying to e-mails fast enough. I have talked to her about the complaints it is getting, and she understands. She's made a lot of progress. She spent a lot of long nights getting through and replying to all of the e-mails from the last several months, but more come every day. Everyone's just going to have to grow up and deal with it. The closer we get to this event, the more time and focus we will put on it. If anyone needs to e-mail someone, e-mail me. I have a lot more free time on my hands.

As I've stated before, we don't have any thoughts of backing out of this event. We are committed. As far as I'm concerned, we are past the point of no return. We have many tickets sold, people have purchased airplane tickets, we've confirmed Vern & Virginia. We have already put a good amount of time into this event. And we also really want to see this event happen! Scarlett just said recently that she want to start kicking prep into high gear. We are trying to work out a good time to have a meeting at the event location. We may meet as soon as this week.

Virginia Hey is just a small fraction of the costs of this event. The heavy costs only motivate us to try harder to get people out. Instead of being pessimistic, we are hopeful and are taking charge and making it happen. We are constantly overwhelmed by the sense of how awesome this event will be!

Bill, I am all for free speech, but honestly, we can't keep doing this. In the future, just drop me a line privately. Please try to have some faith and let us do the worrying for you.

If you have some constructive criticism, I'm all ears. Would it help to send out detailed updates on a regular basis so you can keep track of our weekly thoughts and progress? Maybe not knowing what's going on is making you worry?

Hey Karol,no problem. It's just that I have been burned way too many times,so I try to make sure something is on the up and up before I spend a lot of ca$h to go so far away.I am also getting stoked about this happening, but am not a Myspace or facebook fan or member,I don't have time for meaningless social networking with all of the friends list games that go on over there.
I really like the idea of regular updates, even if to say that not much new is happening, but the clock is still counting down.
Yes,I have been regularly stocking up on fuel, when I have the extra cash. But I seem to wind up using it as the price continues to climb.I still have two 55 gallon barrels and about seven, five gallon cans full.Plus all of my spare drivers have full fuel tanks, just ready to be siphoned out.Cheers,Bill
