Just wanted to chip in my tuppence worth of opinion.

Though I don't know what was said over at G&G's website about inaccurate replicars it seems to me that anyone willing to take on the task of building such a replicar ought to be patted on the back for doing it instead of ebing sl*gged off for not using the correct amount of rivets on the left hand door trim fitting under the carpet.. Know what I mean?

We've seen postings from people building Interceptors out of Capris, no one sl*gs them off, heck if I had a car that "almost" looked the part , and the cash of course, maybe I'd have a go and do something similar. But I don't have the time, nor do I have the inclination to do it. But that doesn't take away the fact that those that do are having a go at doing something more than just dreaming.

As for Adrian's Interceptor, I saw this car up close and personal when it was in the UK and though I'm no expert on movie correct acccuracies I couldn't fault it on anything, to me it looked like it wassupposed to: The Interceptor. Adrian however felt differently and said the angle of the roof spoiler at the ends wasn't totally accurate and he planned to air-saw them off and redo them "properly" Yeah well if it makes him happy, I suppose after doing all that work himself he's entitled to do whatever he wants to it's his car, his baby and he deserves to be congratulated on it. As does ANY builder of replicars. I actually prefer Adrians Interceptor now in it's MM2 livery.

I saw this quote from someone here, sorry I forget who it was but it says what I'm trying to say in a nutshell:

"Authenticity is just a question of money. How anal do you want to be?"

What I objected to so much about Sockpuppet's attitude was his automatically sl*gging off of the standard of workmanship that G&G had done, but without providing any evidence of this so called "shoddy" workmanship, which ultimately drove Gordon away from the board. He said his job is done. Well F**K him!

Hiding behind a false name is low, but what can we expect from someone like that?

Message to Sockpuppet, I don't give a fiddler's fart if I'm on your "list" or not. You're a coward for hiding behind another name instead of your own.

That's all folks, sorry to drag up the mud again but I had to say my piece.

Hey Biker, Nah mate you haven't dragged up the mud again, this thread isn't going down that road, for me it was just to tie up some loose ends,a bit like the 'epilogue' at the end of 'The streets of Sanfrancisco'!LoL Lots of things shouldn't have been said but ya live and learn and to be honest the whole thing drained me! I'm going with Jim on this one...well Justice as well but I'm sure he quoted Jim just to wind me up!LoL

Unfortunately we dont have access to the IP address on this style of forum.... Hence the need to move to better one with all the bells and whistles!..

As i siad before... Sockpuppet was allowed for a little while to see what he was up to... (plenty of others who have posted on here over the years have all insulted practially everyone else on this forum too). Since he went really no-where with his accusations and then started posting some strange posts dirceted to other people on here, all his posts were deleted.

Again we dont have the option to ban people on this forum... (hence the need to get a newer forum ... which will take a while).

However the discussion went to the Thunderdome area (which is where any arguements are supposed to go)..... And his latter posts proved to be... a lot tamer...

Everyone at some stage has been a newbie on here.... and a few "newbies" are actually older members who left the board years ago, only to come back now.

Being an old or new member shouldn't really matter too much as to their status, however once would naturally be wary of "new" guys mouthing off....

Jim i appreciate your comments above mate.... (I was seeing red at the time...! but id di read your post in that particular thread).

A lot of people on here have provided EVERYONE with mountains of information on the movie, cast and of course the cars..... It would impossible for one person to do all this (Well Peter B came close!!! )

Everyones efforts has made this "unofficial" worldwide club what it is today....

Before i found this site... (1998 i think it was).... I had my XB.... a front cobra spoiler.... a cobra bonnet spoiler... a set of apache rims..... the brand of police lights (which took 12months to find).... and plans to make my own roof spoiler!

The only thing i knew about MadMax was what i saw on a grainy old video i had......

I knew my car would not be movie correct... but it was the best i had at the time....

I even considered buying a Yellow Interceptor which i saw for sale in Just Cars magazine (the car which Grant ended up buying).... I even have the add i tore out from the magazine somewhere.....

There has been as stated several cars painted in Yellow MFP colours.... from Capris to Cortinas to even Datsuns!

The important thing is what YOU make of it.... and that is to enjoy it!

We are 100% snafu....

Just out of curiosity, is there any estimated timetable on the move to said new board software?
