How about Max's influence on other movie characters?
The Kurgan, the villian in the original Highlander movie, was dressed exactly like Max in MFP-style leathers, was missing the right jacket sleeve and even has metal objects (dont think they were tools) hanging from his belt. This character was straight from a Max-type world. I loved the way he had safety pins closing the gash in his neck...pure genious!

But In Highlander, the Safety pins were just disguising Kurgan's centuries healed scar.
Another.. In the British Comedy series Red Dwarf Dave Lister, a habitual tattered leather jacket wearer, uses a double barrelled, pistol gripped shotgun in the episode "The Last Day")
