Ya I kind of agree with you, by saying Fury Road wasn't a complete movie.
It felt kind of rushed at certain points that being said it was still the Best freaking movie I have ever seen! loL
Like in the opening when the war rig leaves the cididal, we never get to see "gastown" or the "bulletfarm", I would love to see a place called the "bullet farm!" LoL
What was there reasoning for needing to go there?, besides the obvious
There was no substance behind the madness, wish we could have gotten some background info, but people have always said that about the other madmax movies that they lack in plot and chatter IDK
And I wouldn't really expect a character like "Max" to have alot of lines either, as long as he's been alone in the opening of the movie.
I would also sure like to know who the little girl was, did max father a child after his wife boy were killed? IDK
And I think some of the ghosts he was eing should have been jessie and goose and toe cutter just to tie the movie together a little more
Now lets move on to vehicles, holy crap what a line up, over 130 vehicles, are you freaking kidding me! LoL
I'm guessing that some where down the lineMax found another V-8 interceptor LoL
But yet we never get to all of the vehicles and the ones you do see it's quick and choppy.
Like the mack tow truck, you see it in the opening for 2 seconds and then it latches onto the war rig for two seconds and thats it
I guess just that I'm a gear head and I want to see each car and appreciate how long each one took to build, the spikers, the '32 pursuit special, the war rig, the tanker, the gigahorse, dual stacked blower V-8 interceptor cars for days!
Now about it's "R" rating ya with it's mild violence and virtually no foul language it was like why rated r, well the scene where "Doc" removes the unborn baby from "Angharad" was deemed really offensive and distrubing by the MVPA and was said to be for "mature audiences only"
The long chase at the end was decent but it was mainly just the war rig the gigahorse and doofwagon, everything else was just kinda following along.
And I also felt the ending was really lacking to, Nux crashes the war rig, killing "Rictus" and the doofwagon crashes into the war rig and that's it.
You don't ever see what happens to all the guys on the other side and all the guys on the bikes up in the hills, I would just like to know what happened with all those people.
You see Furiosa and the wives being lifted by the platform and boom thats it, I was like What!? LoL
But I can't help but wonder if they did it this way on purpose to leave it wide open for sequel, I just hope we don't have to wait 30 years for it! LoL
All in all I did love this movie, solely because no one has ever mad anything to this caliber before, the road warrior is about the closest thing to compare to fury road.
Even with it's lack in story and plot Fury road is straight crushing all the fast and furious movies combined! LoL
And I truly hope they make another Mad max movie :)

Fury Road is much better than most modern action blockbusters but it's still not half the movie RoadWarrior is.

It's a reflection of the times we live in.

It's made a heap of money and certainly both rekindled and old fanbase while creating a new one. It may have changed the course of modern movie making in positive way. But we owe it to our own integrity as lifelong fans to see its many many flaws and shortcomings.

I know and I'm sorry about that. I'm still not sure if the time is right to air negative opinions about Fury Road.

I have no idea what that statement means. If you had problems with the movie, that's fine, but don't try to speak for other people. Plenty of "lifelong fans", myself included, who ended up loving FR as much as Road Warrior.

I've made a couple of comments.

This is kind of the problem at the moment. It's like nobody can make any critical comment on their subjective or objective opinions without Fury Road being defended as perfect.

I'm not trying to speak for other people, but as you say, you didn't understand my statement.

I have no problem with anybody loving Fury Road. I envy their feelings. But, as this thread shows, the views are not accepted the other way around.

Oh don't be such a drama queen - everyone says their bit, not everyone agrees (see: my post on the Furiosa #1 comic, lol). The more sweeping statements you make the more likely people are to disagree with you, and others may well not be looking for the same things as you when they watch all of the Mad Max films.

Doh Fury Road is much better than Road Warrior (which have the advantage of Mel and the charm of the low budgetery settings that gives it a kind of poetic edge).

We don't need to see Bullet Farm or all the other places the film suggests. That would be a Nolan film where everything is spelled out because the director think we're all idiots and looks for the lowest common denominator.

Miller takes the audience for educated people. The only drawback in FR is that Hardy is not as magnetic as Mel, still, he makes the role it's own.
