An other one I just thought of:

Immortan Joe already has several children. Two of them, Rictus Erectus and the midget in the chair, reminds of MasterBlaster.

I'm pretty sure a sound grab was used from MMI where a character says " We know who you are aaaaaah "

The thing with the switches on the warrig; it reminded me of the booby trap switch under the interceptor

So, nobody's going to mention the Gyrocopter Captain's skull then...? Hung right over Max when he's strapped to Nux's car...?

It was mentioned before in another tread. But now you've also placed it in the reference tread :D

There's another thing; there's seemingly a deliberate speeding up of certain scenes ala the old movies.

I'm not sure if I like it or not, the old movies had to cheat a bit with the lack of money whereas FR doesn't need to do this. It looks a bit silly to me in FR, I didn't notice it so much in the vehicles as I did with the movements of some of the War Boys. It just reminds me of GB berserker pulling the mechanic and the warrior woman off the rig in MM2, still hate that now especially the way the berserker strikes the roof of the car. They did it a little bit with Ironbar in BTD when he was jumping and swinging from car to car. its a style I haven't seen used much elsewhere (i'm not counting the Saving Private Ryan newsreel style which is a bit different)

That's because it relates to silent films. It's part and parcel of the Miller style.

That was a reference I constantly forgot. I also noticed some sped up scenes. One I can recall is where the gang of the bulletfarmer drives right by the camera during the night scene.

scfc, he uses it twice in his short for Twilight Zone: The Movie, and once during Babe: Pig In The City - primarily, it's something he's done with the Mad Max films, as they have the most intentional relationship to silent filmmaking.
