Here it's a different story. For instance if you want to see it tomorrow morning at 10:00AM yes, you can get seats but only the crappy front row seats are available. Maybe they won't completely sell out but all showings tomorrow will be packed.

At my local theater they're only showing Fury Road 5X today, compared to 10X for Pitch Perfect:
4 showings in Dolby ATMOS (10AM, 1PM, 4PM, 7PM)
1 showing in 3D (10PM, sneaky fellows ain't they?)
Great news is tonight's 7PM showing is SOLD OUT!
The 10PM 3D is over halfway sold with all the crappy front seats available.

Seen it twice now. Thursday 5:30pm, and Sunday noon. Both times the cinema was packed, and most people I know have seen it and are hyping it up as awesome.
