no no no NO NOO !!! Just NO!!!!!! Fucking no. The music, the hot chicks, the trendy fucking emo hipster gay goth (Mad Max has dreads?!!!) the fucking pommie acting as an aussie...I had my doubts, now the trailer has just confirmed it.It's gonna be FUCKING SHIT. Maybe Tom Hardy can pronounce his words this time, still won't save this HOLLYWOOD money sponging fucking train wreck. I don't care if Mel Gibson is a racist, he's still a good actor, and while he is still alive, this role belongs to him and him only. Fuck this movie

Re: Idiots hall of fame
Well there were some long time members here who were upset and constantly referred to Hardy as that "pom" playing Max...
To be fair though to the younger generation that while Mad Max as a whole may of transcended to pop culture reference or a phenomenon, very few have actually seen the movies given how dead or quiet the franchise has been for the last 30 years. So I can understand when young folks might take more to FURY ROAD being more to what they've seen or experience like video games with RAGE, Fallout and Borderlands because while they might know of the Mad Max reference they don't actually know what it is.
I mean I'm 32 so of course I grew up with the movies and Mad Max 2 was among the first films I ever saw as a kid along with Star Wars but up until last month some of my friends in their mid 20s had either never seen a Mad Max film, didn't know 3 films existed outside of Mad Max and Beyond Thunderdome or only saw one.
Honestly, ignoring the comments, and the best thing I've seen is how these people have been taken aback, impressed or had their interest piqued by the trailer to the point that they are now seeking out and watching the original trilogy for the first time thanks to the FURY ROAD Comic Con first look. Just take a look and do a search for Mad Max on Twitter to see people talking about watching the film for the first time! No surprise that Netflix added the first film this month too...

Information is just one click away. Those idiots have no fuckin' exscuse. They deserve to be shot.
Re: Idiots hall of fame
So what if Tom Hardy isn't Australian. A lot of people also forget that Mel Gibson is originally from New York and migrated with his family to Australia when he was kid.
"Between them and us, there's not enough runway!"

Exactly, that cheeky draft dodger!

I have wondered for a while why it is important to have a thread solely dedicated to being dicks to others while trying to out-fanboy people.
How about we drop the elitist 'tude and act like we still live in a (mostly) civilised society?

Well said, this thread does come across as a bit mean spirited.I have wondered for a while why it is important to have a thread solely dedicated to being dicks to others while trying to out-fanboy people.

Re: Idiots hall of fame
Agreed. Nothing constructive is going to come out of this thread and if folks do want to see what others are saying, well they're only a click away.
