Not that surprising given the story revolves around pretty women giving birth to 'pure breed' kids and such.

Children are the center of each Mad Max movie. It cannot be Mad Max without the element of a child, or childs.

MM1: A child is nearly run down by speeding cars within the first 5 minutes of film, and the whole center of the film evolves around Max child in danger. When Max's wife is run down, what you see is the baby ball (or whatever that is bouncing down as the bikers speed by. The death of the wife, but especially, of the child, send Max on a path to revenge and to becoming Mad.

MM2: Feral kid. Max substitute child. Nuff said.

MM3: that's where it went overboard, but the film is essentialy a PG-13 lite version of a Mad Max story. Only the amount of childs bog it down. (and the rating).

I'm sure in the reboot, Miller will keep the element there, but in check. This film needs to be badass, with all the elements intact. These must include a child or childs.

It won't be a Miller movie till there are pigs in it! Just wait till some pig farm owner tweets out the news.

Asked by another site about the current status of Mad Max: Fury Road, Tom Hardy confirmed that the film is about to undergo additional reshoots; “It’s big. It’s very big. We’re going to go back out and do some more on that and add some bits that weren’t in it the first place, so it’s growing. It’s an ever-growing vehicle! It’s going to be spectacular.”

Pretty much confirming then what was rumoured and Devin's article. Interesting. I wonder if Charlize has to shave her head again.

And preparations are underway for three weeks of additional filming for George Miller’s Mad Max Fury Road in late November – two major set pieces and a climactic stunt sequence.

Talked to a friend in Sydney who is an actor. She's been signed up for about a week to do some work on the additional shooting days on Fury Road. She's playing one of a group of 'homeless' sewer-dwellers called The Wretched. They scavenge and live off the crap from Immortan Joe's fortress. Sounds like some social comment on the hierarchy of current society. She's read about 10 pages of script, that's all they're allowed. It's like a giant comic book she says, everything is drawn and on the page. Word is that the movie is stunning and Warners are putting more cash into it as they're convinced it's going to be a huge hit, given the success of Fast & Furious. It's not like the old Mad Max movies of the 80s, it's a new Mad Max for a new audience. I've seen all the Mad Max movies and like them a lot, but the second one is by far the best... And this is apparently, closest to that.
