I won't be watching. Fury Road was the only nominated movie I've seen and nothing else interested me. To be honest I find the whole ceremony irrelevant and boring.

Sad to hear that. Yes sometimes it can be boring, especially when you have no film to root for. But that's rarely the case for me.
For me the most memorable and satisfying moments in Oscar history were in 1991 (or 1992 ?) when The Silence of the Lambs won 5 Oscars
and 1996 when Mel won for Braveheart.

Also not a fan, I'll be interested in seeing some of the results on Monday but I'm not about to sit down and watch an awards show.

Come on...a Mad Max movie is nominated for a bunch of Oscars and you don't even consider to watch it ? :?
Join the party!

Well ... no. I love Fury Road. It is now my favourite film. The number of accolades it wins won't affect that, and I really don't care about the Oscars ... if Max gets a few it might help progress future movies, and it would be nice if it got what it deserves, but beyond that I don't really care for all the tuxedo back-slapping etc.

I'll definitely watch! But I'll be very nervous, I want FURY ROAD to win everything it's nominated for, but I don't have a good feeling. :(

Yeah, i haven't sat through the Oscars since 1998 (Good will hunting and As good as it gets were cleaning up that year) and i also find it boring as hell.

BUT this is historic, i am NOT missing this one, i will sit up all night for it - even if it's a work night :D

Try to see it positive. Even if Fury Road is gonna win only one single Oscar, we can celebrate our first Academy award for a Mad Max movie...:P
