Possible pictures of actual Fury Road vehicles
Re: Possible pictures of actual Fury Road vehicles
Definitely, check out the amout of Fury Road (Furiosas?) logos on the Gigahorse. The cab is full of them and they're even a few on the exhaust pipes.

Biolumen-
On 18 June you posted pics that look like they were shot in Broken Hills. Do you know if these were preliminary shots done before moving to Namibia, or reshots done afterward?

The source link says that the picture was taken from the Swakopmund River bed. The area (Goanikontes) is one of the named filming locations.Chase Bansi wrote:Biolumen-

Interesting. They move to production to Africa for the desolate scenery and then film in the greenest location available. I am confident it will all make sense in the final cut.

This picture REALLY pissed me off. For one thing I loved the original movies that everything was done in real time. Like "THAT" motorbike crash from the second movie. Thats why those movies were amazing. Everything looked real because in fact it was shoot in real time. But not anymore ofc. Everything had to be thrown in the toilet. If there is big chase scene with that rig in FR it will be 90% CGI for sure :/ Lazy bastards.biolumen wrote:Speaking of CGI.....

Re: Possible pictures of actual Fury Road vehicles
The green screen isn't much different from many of the scenes in Road Warrior atop the tanker. The tanker was mostly stationary for filming with the actors. The stunts on the other hand...were real, as I expect them to be in FR (I hope). I'm still amazed at the Bad Cop jumping from Humungus' vehicle onto the back of the tanker at speed. All it would take is a loose glove, a bit of oil, or missed timing and he'd drop right between them.

Yeah I doubt the Insurance agencies would be too pleased when your principal actors are riding a top a fast moving rig.
It's been said many times they're going for as little CG as possible with real effects and stunt work. In fact there was a big mishap with the very War Rig pictured involving the stunt driver, who took over for somebody else, missing the planned route under a bridge which took off the back compartment where a camera man was housed. No fatalities but the camera man was injured and off set for a week or 2.

I feel that if they're using the green screen and given the way the game looks and the real life vehicles; I have a feeling we're getting something closer in tone to Book Of Eli.
My concern with the green screen would be that the rig is static but it depends what they're using it for. It could just be to paint in a background for a particular shot.

I hope you are right. I want all chase scenes to be filmed in real time, not on static objects. Or at least 99% of the chase scenesDGSimo wrote: It's been said many times they're going for as little CG as possible with real effects and stunt work.
