Seen the trailer on this page , seems like the author is still not getting it....
But with each subsequent movie, only the madness of the world around Max grew, Max's rage and hatred seemed to subside into mourning, with Max showing little if any emotion. It is for this reason alone that I am hoping that Immortan Joe is revealed to be the Toecutter, as it would be a reason for Max's madness to return; having unknowingly let one of his familys killers survive.

Not sure what to make of this but the BBFC has classified a new trailer for Fury Road, titled "Comic Con", thats almost 6 minutes in length....

The Comic Con first look we got a look at on YouTube etc was only 2 minutes and 30 seconds soon I'm a little perplexed as to what it is or it's distribution. It was submitted by WB Entertainment UK and not their Home Entertainment department...

Maybe that's the uncut Comic Con version that folks got to see in San Diego last year?

Only thing I can think of though it's weird to submit a old trailer to be classified where the FX work were incomplete compared to the teaser in December?

The studio did a stealth FX fix for the trailer so they might as well do the same here. And the next Comic Con is in July so I don't think they'd need a new trailer specifically for that:) My bet is on the full Comic Con trailer from 2014, dropping around Easter.

True, true but for what purpose is the trailer? They're not going to drop a 6 minute trailer in cinemas...or are they? Again I have no idea why it was rated. Usually you can see that the Home Entertainment section submitted a trailer to be included on Blu-Rays and DVDs but that isn't even the case here.

Wait and see I guess!

Quick OT but I'm now really hoping that if the film can't get an IMAX release that it gets a D-Box one at least!

Who knows really... ultimately it's for promotional purposes so maybe an extended Comic Con trailer could be used for various online outlets to keep the hype going. Seriously, it's all guesses at this point.

I guess IMAX release is a given. I mean..WB gave IMAX to f****ng Transcendence.

Yeah. I had heard actually that Australian cinemas did screen the Comic Con First Look before features.

IMAX with Fury Road is tricky now because Disney now have the agreement with IMAX where their films are going to be on IMAX which means Disney/Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron will be an IMAX release on May 1st and then 3 weeks later Disney's Tomorrowland will be an IMAX release...that leaves Fury Road right in the middle. So in theory WB could negotiate to have Fury Road be a week only engagement on IMAX screens before Tomorrowland releases but then theaters might not want to give up their biggest screens if The Avengers is still bringing in the big bucks and audience.

I'm curious to see what happens and would love to see it on the biggest and loudest screen possible but if it doesn't happen then I'm sure it'll be on D-Box and I'd love to experience the film that way too.

D-Box is motion viewing. Basically it's a specialized chair in movie theaters that moves with the action on the screen.
