How would making "Mad Max: Fury Road" similar to "Mad Max 2" be an embarrassment? The film is a masterpiece. So what if we're in a new generation. "Mad Max 2" still has the power it had back in '81.
I wouldn't say it would be an embarrassment but Mad Max 2 is 34 years old now and I am sure George Miller as an artist/film maker doesn't want to be making the same thing he was 30+ years ago. He wants to try different things, and as we've seen from the previous Mad Max films, he doesn't like to do the same thing twice.

Each of the Mad Max films are very unique to itself, always taking elements from the previous film but doing something very different with it, I am not sure why anyone expected anything less from Fury Road.

Nope.

WB haven't done one for years because spending $5 million for a 30 second TV commercial is stupid and there's no evidence to suggest Super Bowl commercials=Box office success.

I saw American Sniper on Friday and MMFR wasn't on the previews during this showing but others I know had saw it as was mentioned here also.
Interestingly there was a preview of an Australian movie coming out this year that was cut very similar to the FR trailer with the graphic screens and mentions Mad Max.

This was is it. Wyrmwood.

Saw American Sniper on Sunday, and got treated to the trailer...WOW. It plays sooo much better on screen. Having seen it dozens of times on the 'puter, I was surprised how hard my heart was beating. The music works better at 90 decibels too.

I can't be sure if it's just part of their regular marketing or they're trying to hint towards something for tomorrow..

Japanese International trailer:

I'm on my work computer so I've got no sound and YouTube doesn't work well but it looks to be a shorter trailer with a mix of the Comic Con and Teaser footage. Anyone else see if there's anything new visual or audio wise?

I think this is the only shot that we haven't seen before:

Otherwise it's a condensed theatrical trailer with re-cut music. The only thing different sound wise is that we can hear Furiosa's scream way better.

Nah it's in the Comic Con first look. Watching the trailer and it's just a bad mishmash of the teaser and Comic Con footage sadly.

Ah yeah! It flashed there for a second in the Comic Con trailer, apparently I didn't register that:)
