EXCELLENT!!! Maybe it was one of the leftover vehicles from when they about to film the other one, and they brought it back.

I'm baffled by the fact this thing has traction on the rear wheels, that huge engine looks like it's gonna dig into dirt and lanuch the whole car mid air doing front flips.

I hope they mounted some seats too cause after awesome door opening sequence (who needs doors?) I think there was some rug on the floor, correct me if I'm wrong.

No LSD it seems... God I despise one wheeled wonders.

Sounds good though, that supercharger whine!

incredible looks. and maybe someone else touched on this but....how is it the last v8 interceptor is suddenly not the last. i mean i love it's back but it's a continuity issue to say the least i do like that broken hill will be back i think i could see accepting a different max then mel with those little familuraities.

i just hope mel has an explaination. but it's nice to see them going back to more cars then just cobbled together machines that look nothing like the cars they were torn parts from. don't get me wrong here thunderdome has it's charm and i even liked mel's truck towards the end but it just wasn't road warrior for me and i think it's part of what put most of us off in the begining. cause i can't say i liked thrunderdome all that much when i saw it as a kid but i didn't give it a serious look. now that i am older and i've seen thunderdome i don't hate it as much i understand what miller was going for.

so the return to broken hill and the interceptor is interesting. we shall see how it pans out.

If they remember what made the first two movies great and what people didn't like about the third, I am sure it will be in good hands.

The problem with Thunderdome was the story. It was too cutesie.

It's the wasteland not disneyland. The feral kid would have eaten those hippy 'blue lagoon' reject kids for breakfast.

Everything is destroyed. Apart from these railway tracks that look well maintained, that just happened to run to the powerplant of Bartertown, that just happened to be a full functioning truck/train that you could drive off with. WTF!

I'm hopeful that the FJ choptop rust bucket was just used for window dressing (sheeit, they could have used my car I they bothered to return my call or emails), cause it looks sillier than the Thunderdome wackyracers.

with all due respect, but MMBT looked like a logical continuation of the saga. You just can't expect stock supercharged cars in the wasteland 30 years after apocalypse.
Believe me, I was like you first time I watched it and I couldn't believe they made MM into a kids' rescue story, but the rest fits perfectly if you ignore that. In fact I suggest you do, because Max was thrown in there just because lost post - apocalyptic kids' story was the first thing that they were about to film. Up to you if you focus on disney things in there or how much Mad Max was in there. I personally think that Max's influence overshadowed the tribe there. In the end I guess it all makes a perfect circle, who knows what kind of things happened out in the wasteland. Just because ridiculous ideas were in the movie don't make them plausable in fans eyes.

As for the return of BOB. I have no idea and I really don't feel like examining why that car might be in Fury Road. For all we know it could've been a prop set up for TV appearance. And that's what I'd be sticking with, because Mel has nothing to do with this movie, he won't give any explainations, only Miller and his writers can. That doesn't exclude total badassness of BOB showing up on screen in the new movie. We just gotta decide if that would be a total cash in on the franchise with no plausable explaination to the story or in fact there was a second 'Last V8', which makes it sound not so special after all.

Not sure of the story behind it or the driver, but I'm guessing the vehicle might've been borrowed for the press conference and is not a product of the production. More info would be good.

Looks like an XB sedan up on a trailer about 19 seconds into the clip.

AFAIK the whole 'last v8' thing is just all fanlore based on interpreting the mechanics comment in Road Warrior. Although there could be more evidence to support it that I'm perhaps unaware of.
