That is excellent, just to be nominated is a big deal for a movie that puts action first
(and of course increases the chances of getting the next Max films funded!)

BAAAM! 10 Nominations. This is crazy!
Good to see Tom Hardy got nominated for The Revenant and also Stallone for Creed,
a bit disappointed Junkie XL wasn't nominated for best score.
if George Miller wins best director I'm gonna dance naked in the streets..!!

Eh. Tbh, I found it one of the weaker aspects of the film. On the whole, I think Jarre's score for Thunderdome is better.

Funny, complete opposite. I found Jarre's soundtrack by far the weakest part of Thunderdome.
Sounded like fairground music. I always thougt the movie would've benefitted alot if Brian May made the score.

Let me clarify. Listening to the isolated soundtracks, I like Jarre's better. Paired with their respective movies, I like them about the same.

After hearing Junkie XLs tracks of 'Divergent' and 'Run all night' I was worried for the Mad Max score.
For me they were too heavy on percussion. But I was pleasantly surprised by his Fury Road soundtrack.

I used to be a big fan of Junkie XL, back before he started to change his name around (Big Sounds of the Drags and Saturday Teenage Kick era). After that I lost interest because his tracks didn't have that grittiness anymore, not to mention he switched over to mainstream music. From that I was relatively optimistic towards his score on Fury Road, but ultimately I was disappointed.
I could go into detail why that soundtrack wasn't really anything special, but to keep it short - too much drumming (cop out to build tension), blatant copying of material at least 3 times during the course of the movie and bad editing. It felt like he used a template for this movie and pasted it in strategic points. It never happened in previous Mad Max movies - they all had scores written from scratch for each scene and nothing sounded exactly the same.

The score of Junkie XL for MM4 is absolutely perfect. I have the CD and the two limited edition LP's. I listen to it quite often. I even made a copy of the CD to put in the exchanger in my car. After viewing the movie several times you can even imagine the scenes of the movie when you are listening to the soundtrack. And nr. 10: Brothers in arms, is my most favorite track.

Everybody wants a black & white version……
I want a soundtrack only version!

The whole Rock Riders sequence in the middle of the movie in combination with 'Brothers in Arms' from Junkie XL is one of the biggest highlists of Fury Road.
Remembering the first time I watched this scene in the cinema, I had a big smile in my face and I instantly knew, everything from now on (movie-wise) will be o.k.
