Re: Possible pictures of actual Fury Road vehicles
Looks to me like the 'flagpoles' at the back end of the tanker are actually hoists. You can see the winch cranks on them. The wide wheelbase cars are definitely built to stabilize the counterweighted poles. I would presume these are the rumored devices to get from one vehicle to another.
The 57 Chevy looking vehicle mentioned before looks like a mid-50's Ford Ute although the tail end looks more like mid-50's Pontiac/Oldsmobile.
Correction: I was thinking they were both the same car but they aren't. One is a mid-50's Ford Ute and the other is a mid-50's Pontiac or Oldsmobile. Also, the Gigahorse weapons look for all the world like harpoons. I think that was suggested earlier, but I don't recall if it was in reference to the Gigahorse.

Re: Possible pictures of actual Fury Road vehicles
Ya know what i find slightly dissapointing about all these vehicles?
well with the exception of the bob and silver interceptor's, the rest don't look threatening or mean enough, i mean sure all the bits and pieces welded on and the engines etc are fine (the bodies impaled on the poles is a particularly exciting idea and reminds me heaps of MAD MAX 2 with the bodies on parade at the compund gates and the ones set on fire in the "NOOOBODY" speech) but most of them are like VW style and like 50's shaped like old FJ HOLDEN style etc and yeah sure i dig the CUDA's but the CORVETTE was never a particularly mean looking car - too sporty for a MAD MAX vehicle.
Remember in MAD MAX 2 the least nasty looking vehicle was probably the dune buggy, but EVERY other car -
RED XA, CHARGER, STATESMAN, RED MONARO, LANDAU, VALIANT, FAIRLANE ZG, HUMUNGUS VEHICLE, even the Towtrucks looked totally badass, even without the paint jobs and dartguns.
Also why is damn near every FURY ROAD vehicle's rear suspension jacked up beyond believe? they look like East LA
'MACHETE' style gangsta vehicles
just had a speed read of all 100 plus pages of this thread so if these have been addressed i apologise.

Here's a screen grab from the blog where he's talking about a hand sign they are using in the movie for "V8"

It looks like it's been on fire from underneath. The tanks also look burned. And the tail light looks to be melted.
Not an engine fire tho, the most forward piece of the front is intact.
I wonder if this was for the movie or an real accident.
Could not be caused by the heat of those big exhaust pipes I think. At the front wheel arch the pipes are to far away from the fender. (I hope I got the technical term right

"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

Hopefully the fire damage is from some sort of flamethrower attack.

It's a '47-'48 Buick Sedan. My father had 2 of them when I was a kid.

I am in awe of that engine on Gigahorse. Much kudos to people who built that.
Also that gun on the Buick doesn't seem to be a harpoon gun. More like a heavy machine gun, much like M2:

Re: Possible pictures of actual Fury Road vehicles
That's a great angle on the Gigahorse that we haven't seen that well. Here's a question? Do you think they made the bottom car wider, or the top car narrower? From the rear view it appears the lower car has been widened by the added material where the license plate goes. The front clip looks like it's the normal width. This front angle looks like the top car has been narrowed. In either case it would require some tricky windshield customizing.
