I remember coming across a supposed Fury Road storyboard panel someone posted on a Japanese board a few years ago. It was a drawing of a giant earth mover like vehicle, the type seen in quarries and such, outfitted with melee type defence weapons and whatnot. At the time, I questioned the authenticity of the drawing, but now I'm wondering if it in fact was an actual storyboard.
Turns out it isn't a storyboard. It's a concept drawing done some years back by illustrator John Eaves for what appears to have been an interview for a Mad Max 4 art's department job he was trying to get at the time. It isn't clear whether he came up with the idea for the very large vehicle himself or whether he was asked by the filmmakers to draw one (the latter could be quite telling). He posted the drawing along with some other stuff to his blog back in April.

The zoomies are hard to see but don't look quite right, maybe they're all black. The blue steering wheel is of course incorrect. The nose is different. Not only are the lens covers different from the press release (as previously mentioned) but so is the lower chin spoiler. It's hard to tell but in the press release it appears that the headlights behind the honeycomb are round.

I think it's safe to assume that the average film goer would never notice these differences. We notice only because we are fanatical. I stand by my theory of a different face playing Max, and a different face playing the BoB.
It looks like an XC (at least the wrond rear quarters)

That coupe is wrong in soooo many ways.
LTDHO = Supercharged Intercooled 5.7L 360rwkw, 6 speed

XB Coupe = Stock Fairmont GS with 351 and 4 speed.

But I really want a 600rwhp XB coupe!

Interesting how that comment on the Apocalypse gallery reads "The 'other' last of the V8 Interceptors". Perhaps they are going with the second BoB concept speculated earlier.

They're most likely referring to the "previous last" V8 interceptor that was blown up in MM2.

Dunno who's building the vehicles, but this website says that the production is "crewing up" in March of 2010. That sounds a bit early for a reported August shoot. Maybe they start filming in June after all.

An email address is provided as a contact for the production as well.

Not sure if this was posted already. I found a video of the Holden ute we saw at the press conference in action. It's seen here being driven around in a field. Not sure of the story behind it or the driver, but I'm guessing the vehicle might've been borrowed for the press conference and is not a product of the production. More info would be good.

Nice touch on the doors :lol:
"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.
