I just saw the NBC cut, with commercials.
Its being seeded and not so hard to find if you look.

Its pretty much the same thing.
The intro/outro VO is somewhat atrocious,
but interesting.

From screenwriter John Baxter:
I had all the drafts of Mad Max 2 right from the very first outline right through to the final version of the screenplay and it was very clear that Kennedy's intelligence was motivating much of what went on in that film, and it's fascinating to see that the film's early draft has been carried through into Beyond Thunderdome rather than any new material. Basically, Miller had gone back to the early drafts of Mad Max 2 and picked out certain sequences that he hadn't used, like the feral children living by the plane wreck - that was a left-over from Mad Max 2, though originally it hadn't been a plane but a school bus, and he used it as the skeleton to hang the third movie on.
That would almost justify the flaws of MM3.

The only version of MM2 that I read was kind of better in ways,
the movie was kind of better in others.

I cant remember which one I have the novelization of?
It might be number 2.
I've got the one that was more common (although still rare).

But I have to say that Miller seems to be pulling it off so far.

What would happen if humongous shooting the front grill worked?
Max would be captured and tortured!

The nu Road Warrior goes down that dark alley immediately.

For those who haven't seen it, Miller's 1997 documentary "40,000 Years of Dreaming" is available for download at the Dropbox link below. He mainly covers Australian cinema from the silent era to present, but also talks at length about Mad Max.

Love that the Rossiters are back. But one thing that is bothering me is the constant inconsistency of Max wearing his boots in the images we have seen, seem to change back an forward to regular lace up ankle cut hiking boots. It seems like some kind of a mistake as they seem to be on him in different frames of the same moment.

I was thinking the same thing from the production stills . I was stoked when I saw the shot of Max carrying Nux after the dust storm . he has his original boots on ( after seeing him with bare feet during the storm ) seeing that Nux is wearing Max's jacket , I'm assuming he was wearing his boots as well , which max seems to have reclaimed .Max is actually wearing sneakers in one shot ( fighting on hood of war rig ) and lace up army boots in another . I'm hoping these are just production oversights , left in as the action is fleeting for seconds only on screen . The stunts would be more dangerous in original boots , and flash across the screen quicker than we are supposed to notice . if you look closely at Thunderdome , Max is wearing dodgy 80's basketball boots in the thunderdome while fighting blaster .
