Hmmm... I think I'll reserve my judgment until after I see it. Yes, I can see it is full of concepts and scenes we are quite familiar with but I'm not ready to dismiss a film based on a few scenes. When was the last time you say a film and thought 'wow, that was completely original' ? I don't expect it to be award winning material, nor do I expect it to have any in depth character development. At least it looks like it was made with a decent budget. Points for high production value.

Many of us have watched every crappy MM rip off movie ever made, some with ridiculously low budgets. Some almost painful to watch they are so bad. We knew they were going to be bad before we watched them, but still we watched them. What makes this film any different?

Okay, that was just pathetic.

The "hero" car is an epic fail to begin with, and the whole chase... The hero car would outrun every piece of crap they got... But I will go and see it, it's something to do, and while this scene has already been written off imho, others within might save it.

Damn, we should get together on the salt flats, buy some raggedy ass vehicles and do our own chase... It would be better than this...

Well I went and saw Doomsday and it was awsome. I give it a 4.5 out of 5 because there were some slow moments, a cool vehicle was destroyed, the car chase was real but two quick-cut edited for me but it was awsome. So what if he took stuff from the other movies, Quentin Tarantino does that all the time so why can't Neil Marshal do it? One of the soldiers in the film was named Carpenter,a nod to John Carpenter. Also the film isn't ripping off 28 Days Later. That's just the backdrop, the main theme is the gang and the search for the cure. Great soundtrack, It had Siouxsie And The Banshees. Awsome. I recomend it. You all know the movies I like, Would I steer any of you wrong? Just at least rent it. :D

Not to be rude but George A. Romero's Dawn Of The Dead scared You? It's supposed to be end of the world scary not ghost go boo scary. But another point is it's a classic and many others here, other various film buffs will agree. But I'm Sorry If I did steer you wrong. Your probably wouldn't like it. They burn a guy alive and eat him. :)

Come on Biker! You know you shouldn't be watching those zombie flicks. You KNOW their gonna give you nightmares. I share your pain. I can watch films with all kinds of monsters or demon minion of Satan himself, but when it comes to zombies... yikes! :o

Hey Bad cop I was actually pulling your leg there, I haven't watched any films you've reccommended since I know bowel control and my shock resistance are directly linked. No offence intended btw. I read the list of films you enjoy and know, just by the titles, what they'd be like. Here's a little something for ya - everytime time I see that Kurt Russel film advertised, that Quentin Tarantino film, know it? I'd see it on a shelf and the thought would automatically pop into my head "Bad cop raved about that film." ... and I'd pull back my arm just in time before I'm tempted to buy it Hehehehehehhee!!

Hey Chase thanks for the support mate. Y'know we ought to buy in a coupla pizzas, some beer and watch a decent Walt Disney DVD  ... that sounds soooo gay! LOL!!!!

BBB just the very mention of it makes me shudder. Years and years ago I invested in a Playstation 1 (Yes I know, gasp at my extravagance) anyway over the months that followed I bought loads of 2nd hand games for it including a pile of those freebie demo disks too. One had a game on it that had Zombies chasing people through streets and some poor sod got himself trapped in a shop and cornered by the walking dead... I didn't hang around to see what happened, I hit reset before it got any further. I was 38 at the time. I binned the CD rather than risk accidently putting it on again. I think it was the moaning of the z,z,z,.. zomb... ahem walking dead that got under my skin the most.

Wus? Yep I carry a card too, wanna see it? :P I'm excempted from scary rides at the fun fair (especially ghost trains) and being a passenger in fast cars with bald tyres and dodgy brakes.
