I did the mask up. I asked Vern if I could have him sign it, then I asked if I could get a picture of him with it, so he went and put it on. I didn't get that picture, although I probably should have, I was just cracking up and told him he didn't need to have it on, just needed to have it next to him.

Thanks to everyone at Roadwar 2007 for making me feel welcome even though I did not drive a Mad Max replica car or had leather body armor. At least I was semi-post-apocalyptic wearing a Car Wars boardgame T-shirt. :D

Driving out of the 7-11 parking lot following the tanker with "Break Out" track from Mad Max 2 Soundtrack playing was a blast. I wish I had a Tire Shredder on the roof of my car. I felt like I was in Mad Max 2 actually chasing the tanker.

If you ever have the opportunity to meet Vernon Wells, do not miss out. Vernon is one of the most professional and intelligent individuals I have ever met. Vernon is a "real" person not encumbered by a Hollywood personality. Vernon's sense of humor will make you roll on the floor laughing. :D

Dee, Karol and I were at the drive-in theatre discussing having the Feral Kid make a Roadwar apperance. Soon after that conversation I find out Emil Minty himself is a regular visitor to this forum. :D

I sent a private message to Emil discussing the interest the Roadwar Northwest crew have in the Feral Kid making a future appearance. I told him to contact Dee of Mad Max Cars and Karol of Mad Max Costumes to discuss possible logistics. I also made the suggestion if both Vernon and Emil could attend a "reunion" photograph of them could be taken with both of them on a stationary tanker-trailer rig. :D

A photograph of Emil and his son on the hood with Vernon and Karol (in Wez costume) in the front of the tractor would be awesome.

Well it sounds like everyone had a great time!

Sure is great to hear that even across the oceans , fans of the movie got together to enjoy themselves!

Doesnt matter what your background is...

I have seen a few 'Duke Fest's' on DVD... and to see that even such an old TV series brings 1000s of people from all over the world is amazing... (Yes im a fan of that orange charger too)

"They say people don't believe in hero's anymore......"

Well done everyone.........

I really enjoyed the event. Vernon was very nice. We drove in from Canada with our jet black freightliner and everyone made us feel at home. Bill told me more practical information on how to build up my aussie coupes car in 10 minutes than I could ever find on the internet I'm sure. Great bunch of people. Coming back for the next one with hopefully at least a particially finished car. Thanks Dee. Stone.
