Thanks to everyone at Roadwar 2007 for making me feel welcome even though I did not drive a Mad Max replica car or had leather body armor. At least I was semi-post-apocalyptic wearing a Car Wars boardgame T-shirt.
Driving out of the 7-11 parking lot following the tanker with "Break Out" track from Mad Max 2 Soundtrack playing was a blast. I wish I had a Tire Shredder on the roof of my car. I felt like I was in Mad Max 2 actually chasing the tanker.
If you ever have the opportunity to meet Vernon Wells, do not miss out. Vernon is one of the most professional and intelligent individuals I have ever met. Vernon is a "real" person not encumbered by a Hollywood personality. Vernon's sense of humor will make you roll on the floor laughing.
Dee, Karol and I were at the drive-in theatre discussing having the Feral Kid make a Roadwar apperance. Soon after that conversation I find out Emil Minty himself is a regular visitor to this forum.
I sent a private message to Emil discussing the interest the Roadwar Northwest crew have in the Feral Kid making a future appearance. I told him to contact Dee of Mad Max Cars and Karol of Mad Max Costumes to discuss possible logistics. I also made the suggestion if both Vernon and Emil could attend a "reunion" photograph of them could be taken with both of them on a stationary tanker-trailer rig.
A photograph of Emil and his son on the hood with Vernon and Karol (in Wez costume) in the front of the tractor would be awesome.
