What is more stranger then fiction is the fact some of you defend Grant while he has basically told everyone that cars fitted with incorrect spoiler kits etc are not worth the effort!
I find this highly surprising... considering the amount of cars built by private individuals who can't get their hands on "movie correct" kits...
Sockpuppets posts were deleted when he went to far and starting to simply abuse everyone..... People are free to express their opinions on here, so long as its within the rules.
Other forum members have been abusing people no-end on here.... yet no one seems to complain about that......
Grant deliberately set off to discredit people who use "incorrect" parts.... while misleading people at the same time with statements and claims about their own products.....
He then insults Adrian and John with their ability to use a tape measure while they scoped out the real car in England..... yet Gordon in his email gives Adrian full credit.
But bugger this little bit of fact hey guys ???
Yes , sockpuppet should have come out and said who he was..... but you cant force people to do anything....
""Or better yet, why would a moderator add to the flames created by a newbie.""
Chase, no moderators added to flames created by sockpuppet ..... Grant did that on his own. I only replied to what Grant said after he made his "comments" about incorrect parts
Its very strange that people on here only allow abuse to travel only in one direction, but expect it to be deleted when certain people are questioned....
I saw NONE of you guys defend Nelson or Adrian for their efforts to build a car.... and everyone elses "incorrectors" out there....
And i saw NONE of you guys question the fact that on Gordon and Grants own website and for many many year they have said... they have ALL the correct moulds.... when they clearly dont..... and Grant even admitted to it....
""" It does not seem fair to censor some and allow others to spew sh*t and ruin the forum. """
Yes it doesnt seem fair that when people have the rules explained to them, that they then tell the moderator to "grow up" and continue to make sarcastic comments in other threads.....
We are 100% snafu....

Huh? You may want to go back and check on that one. In fact I mentioned Adrian's BoB specifically, and said that it was one hell of an effort and I would proudly display it in my drive! And I also made the point that it was unfair to call all the others "incorrectors," since you can take one look at any of them and know instantly what they are meant to be!Quote: Originally posted by roadwarriormfp on 08 May 2007

well maniac you didnt mention mine, lol.
I dont need people to back me up. I love my car and all its bits. I couldnt afford a more correct looking kit but I actually prefer the look of the cobra 3 piece boot spoiler. I think there will be fewer bobs made in the future as now base rusty coupes are so expensive and all the xb bits are so expensive. To think I paid $200 for my rolling shell five years ago.
As for Grant, I dont agree with his opinion on incorrectors being not worth it but at least he posts under his own name and states his opinion rather than saying it behind people's backs.

Sorry, mate. I'll try to run off the names of everybody who has one built one solo next time. LOL
Seriously, though, they are all fantastic machines. Anyone who has gone to the effort to build one should be proud of what they have accomplished. Reality dictates that I'm just another unlucky Yank who may never know the joy of ownership. Damn, I wish my lotto numbers would pull up soon!
So long as you enjoy it, Nelson, that's all that matters. And that goes for all you lucky bastards who own one.

Aaron (MFP Maniac)... dont worry mate, I was referring to those who had posted on this thread and made comments....
And Blaster i know you dont need backing up... ! lol.....
A while ago someone tried to start a thread on.... who has built the best interceptor... and it was quickly deleted as it not a competiton to build "the best car"....
Sockpuppet was allowed for a few days to see weather or not he was genuine or not.... For all we know he may be a disgruntled former owner/ customer.....
His posts were deleted when they went to far..... the "discussion" was then continued here.
As for being non-biased.... would everyone just prefer i had deleted Grants insults???
Since it seems to me.... when certain posts are deleted.... people whinge.... and when they are left... people whinge....
We are 100% snafu....

To roadwarriormfp, your job as a moderator do realise that you are in a 50/50 position at best. You are dammed if you do and dammed if you don't.I'm sure that if we could all meet face to face there would be a lot less outspoken views.Even when facts seem to present themselves there is always someone to oppose .These last few days have been very interesting to say the least. We all need to read between the lines here , thing slow and post accordingly. Not go off half cocked, and always remain respectful to others and there ideals.Remember to, some people will never get it,some will deny and others just don't care. This forum is only what you make of it.

Sam,carry on doing what you're doing mate, there seems to be a mis-interpretation by some on here as to what should be deleted and what shouldn't, I'm not sure what the difference was between sockpuppet's original posts and Grant's ramblings but what's ok with one should apply to the other....regardless of who it is!!!
I wonder how many on here would have defended the right to build an incorrect replica if it had been anyone else but Grant that posted it? I have a feeling that a lot more members would have jumped in if it had been a newbie!.....but who knows?
And I say this to all who didn't quite say what was on their mind, but quoted others!! Gordon and Grant build great looking Interceptor replicas and that has never been in question......but that had nothing to do with the issue that Grant posted, let's be clear about that. I would also like to say that myself and John were more than happy to help Gordon out, regardless of it being thrown back in our faces we we're actually trying to help both Gordon and Grant, and for them to try acheive some accuracy with something that is never clearly seen in the film......quite ironic now!
So before a lot of you judge me or anyone else that defended their hard work just remember that an insult is an insult no matter who it comes from!
MFPManiac.....thank you mate!

"All this Bullsh*t needs to end"
I agree with this statement. It has been dragging on too long now. Forgive and forget... Chapter closed. Time to put some fresh guzzoline in the tank...
