Excellent Doug!

Bo Hopkins and Candy Clark? How cool was it to meet actors from AMerican Graffitti? That's too cool.

The car looks great. Nice PR letting people put on the jacket and hold the gun prop. I don't know how you let them lean on it though. I think I would be too nervous for that. One rivet on a back pocket on a pair of jeans..........eeesshh.

Some of the guys had grey carpet under their cars at Autorama...might be something to think of...looks tough as usual...nice seat cover in front of the car.

"No, you can't stand on the inside of the rope, but you can sit INSIDE the car." Eh Doug? Quoting his conversation last night...

People remember cool little things like that. Bill Brown let me sit in and start his JGSBoB, and bop the siren...and that's something I'll always remember. It was the first Falcon I ever saw in person...then touched. People also remember others that are being w&nkers and will take away from the overall "enchantment." Replica and XB owners are sort of "Ambassadors" for the films and the forum if you think about it.

Was defiantely a FULL weekend... Greg H , (a Torornto cop and member here) showed on friday, Bill Budd was around all day saturday to help out and beleive me, he was actually useful for a change (sorry Bill, just had to) as Bill, myself and my wife and even Aeron were answering questions all day long.

This was the second time for us meeting Candy and Bo. They were set up right accross from us which gave Aeron someone to chat with not to mention they both spoiled him candy and even a free autographed pic.

To sum it up.... I felt like a celebrety for 3 days. The best part was seeing all the smiles on peoples faces when they saw the car and even better when they got to sit in it .

We're hoping to get to the comic con in Detroit in May to meet a few more from this board.

HUMVEE: I keep forgetting you live in the North-of Dee-troit-ish area. I'll be putting up (with) Doug at my house for the event weekend. It should be fun...maybe all of us could get together.

With Doug and crew in town, he'll be setting up on Friday afternoon and staying the next two/three nights, probably going back late Sunday or early Monday. I might have to take a couple of "cough cough "sick" days." Sound about right Doug?

Where's the beef...err...pics?

So Doug, what day would work for you for some photo ops? Also, I have a friend who wants to pose on your Interceptor. I explained to her how it is a replica and people really shouldn't be crawling all over it, but its your call...

To someone as..."Focused" as Doug...as well as being married...it might be like the NAIAS last year with the Dodge Challenger incident...remember? "I don't care if she looks like a million dollars...our car costs TWO million." I don't think Doug would have the final say...eh?!
