Like a lot of criminals, they talk about honour, but I think it's more a justification for what they're doing. After all, they are breaking the law. But, if you've someone talking in your ear about honour, honour, honour, pretty soon you're gonna believe it.

Yeah, they're very identical the camera zooms out from Max to reveal that he's alone again, i actually find preety interesting the endings for Road Warrior and Beyong Thunderdome, it seems that whatever Max's do he's condemned to end up alone in the desert, like the original trailer narrator says: "He works alone against all odds".........

Yeah, no matter what Max does, he ends up with no weapons and alone.
I absolutely love the ending of Thunderdome though, when they show him walking off into the sunset with that music playing and Savannah doing the narration. Beautiful.

Yes Thunderdome, you are exactly right. I have not seen a movie yet that compares to that beautiful ending. I was so shocked by that ending when I seen it for the first time in years when I was 15 I was almost brought to tears. I remember thinking, "Not only is this ending beautiful but it is also sad as well."
It's great stuff and very artistic at that ending. I swear, I will never love an ending quite the same.

Yeah, that ending really does something to me. I remember the first time I ever saw Thunderdome, I figured Max walking away from the rubble of the chase was the last time we would see him, but then as the film was ending, we had that amazingly beautiful moment when Savannah says "The man who finded us...him that came the salvage" and then we watch as our hero walks off into the sunset.
I still get teary-eyed when I watch it because of its power. We're seeing our hero walk away with nothing and alone, but we're comforted by the fact that he's still alive and wandering the wasteland.
Hands down the greatest ending of all time.
