WEZ Vs. IRONBAR BASSEY
Good points Uncle.
Ironbar did do more where Wez seemed to accomplish deeds through threats and fierce intimidation. Miller did portray Wez as gay to increase his pretador-presence.
This is the same tactic used in prison movies. Who is the baddest guy in prision? Who is the one most feared? The one who wants to make you his girlfriend and rename you "Soooozin"

Thanks Mitch, As for the car being legal, i've a feeling the boys in blue will be out with there tape measures, so for now i can only hope and pray.
I've been trying to visualise exactly what wez had in mind for max...............................i'll leave it for you to ponder.

WEZ Vs. IRONBAR BASSEY
I'd have to say WEZ, though some interesting ponits were made about Ironbar.
WEZ Vs. IRONBAR BASSEY
Wez is bigger and badder, simpy because he is, er bigger and badder. Ironbar, let's face it, he is a little squirt who only does anything for Aunty Entity's approval, whereas Wez is big and mean, and has/does his own thing. I can't remember where Ironbar had to be choked into submission by Aunty, while shouting- we go in, we kill them all...although come to think of it, lucky Ironbar, would prefer to be choked by Aunty than Humungous any day. huh huh. Anyway, Wez rides a bike. Ergo he has bigger balls than Ironbar, whose feet wouldn't touch the ground.
WEZ Vs. IRONBAR BASSEY
Ironbar is just Aunty's henshman. From a certain point of view, a regular guy with culture (see his love for asian traditions, the japanese mask, etc...) who is trying to do his best against the enemies of Bartertown. He's a soldier in a war and has a code of honor; Max is a menace for Entity, Ironbar is doing his job! Wez is completely crazy, a wild beast ... and a murderer. Bartertown, Entity, Ironbar & Co represents in opposite the return to civilization, with order and laws. Wez, definitely tops Bassey, because he's a marauder without scrupuls, has better reflexes to survive, and is fearless enough to break every rules and to live in the middle of a desert full of dangers, far from the security of something like Bartertown and electric light. He don't need that!!!
I could probably make it on my own, but I like you kids.

I think Wez is kinda dum,i mean yeah he drives like a suicidal maniac but isn,t it kinda stupid he knows Max will kill u if u f**k around with him?He should have known you can,t f**k around with max but he keeps trying it,kinda brave thoug 2.And then there is Ironbar a bold nasty dude who probably gave his mother away for a can of juice, now he is a nasty man isn,t he?I think there both not to bright but and they both like killing people.Maybe they are related in some way?like ironbar is his son orsomething?(before his gay adventures ofcourse)who knows, now there,s a theorie...

Guys,
I'm actually shocked and gratefully surprised by this topic. Your points are partially valid, and I like a lot of responses out of this dissertation. You definitely rule. This is a REAL MAD MAX board now!

Okay, I forget FIVE Ironbar Bassey points you MUST check in:
1- The guys is not TOTALLY Aunty's puppet. Yeah, probably he loves her, she saved him from isolation, kind of. I use to think Ironbar and Aunty were crime partners in the same gang, coming back to the RW time (Aunty was the leader of course).
Anyway, in the sequence where Ironbar was tanting Master with the pig circle... Aunty ordered the opposite ("we need him alive") and you can see Ironbar's sneer of hesitation and disapprovation on the face! Then, suddenly, Ironbar turned his face towards Aunty as he was actually thinking "BITCH! Don't give me your sh*t!"
2- The guy whips the horse, when Max is materially condamned to the Gulag Banishment. Then, he laughs. He's evil!
3- The classic quote "Kill him!" When Max refused to give the "coupe of grace" to Blaster. Can't you forget his bloody eyes ??????
4- The guy is wacko. Really wacko. During the Thunderdome arena fight, his japanese mask's eyes are strangely covered with black spray. Why? Was it symbolizing death, justice, luck ??????
5- The guy is damn smart. SMART! When Max just approaches Bartertown (the "Helping build a better tomorrow sign/banner" scene at the very beginning) he suddenly detects our hero, understanding he's a bad ass. You can see Ironbar following Max as Max entered in Bartertown's opening site.
Can't wait for your thoughts!
