The boy's n girl's in the states really have helped in the world wide figures. They've put in about $147 mil compared to the rest of the worlds $209. For some reason i was expecting it to be the other way around with the WW figures helping it out a bit more percentage wise than where things are at now. With things winding up for the most part (Japan only opened two weekends ago) the figures wont be growing too dramatically from here on end. There is still one region that would most likely help things a bit but Is China ever gonna get a release? It was apparently approved i'd read yet no date has been set still that i know of.
It was released in China a couple of weeks ago

You not getting mixed up with the release in Japan a couple of weeks ago? I've seen nothing on it getting an opening in China still.

No just Google Fury Road + China or scroll down this page to this post http://www.madmaxmovies.com/forum/viewt ... 13&t=11188
South China Morning Post ..........
Well, the movie opened this past Thursday and the verdict is a resounding: “Yes.”

Mad Max has hit cinemas again after a hiatus of almost 3 decades. In today’s post I’m going to show you what it is called on the cinema posters in China and Taiwan, as well as breaking down the titles and tagline.

Fury Road's best international performance outside the US has been in South Korea, where it has taken $US23.5 million so far. The film opens in Japan on June 20, where it is expected to do well. It does not yet have a release date scheduled for China, where box office expectations are likely to be high too..

The movie has been given another week of screen time at the Cinema i've viewed it at. Tomorrow was meant to be the last day but it's now showing it'll be running to Wednesday week. Still just two shows per day but that's far better than not at all. It's just good to see the movie is still doing good enough for them to warrant extending it for another week.:D

Coming from an after work screening . . . believe it or not, but it was my first time in 2 D !!

Man, I never knew, it was like watching FR for the FIRST TIME - so many details I didn't noticed before.

And todays showing was well-attended too.

I left the cinema with a big smile . . .

That's good news on a couple of fronts then. One you got to see it again and just that there was a good turnout for that session. Two, you got to see it in 2D.

Only viewed it once in the 3D format and it just didn't do it for me for some reason to be honest but then it was the first 3D film i had experienced in a cinema though. Not really sure what why but my preference is for the 2D format but wanted to experience this movie in both formats just to see how things do look in 3D. For me the 2D was a more enjoyable viewing.
