The thing about Fury Road is that every shot has so many things going on. It's so dense, hopefully it'll work. It's like poetry, it rhymes with the other movies. These changes are gonna be great.

and now you see that popular opinion is worthless, the popular opinion is that star wars prequels and thunderdome both suck, (only on internret message boards, and late night talk shows, in the real world the majority of people love star wars) common knowledge and majority opinion are stupid...Thunderdome and Star wars are both good and GL and GM are both great for many of the same reasons, if you do not see why GL is a great filmmaker, then I doubt you understand why GM is great, beyond oh that looks cool....So if Star Wars sucks why did GM put in so many Star Wars homages in Fury Road, oh you probably did not even notice them because you are not the great film expert you claim to be

I am oversensitive to this issue, Sorry Uncle Entity, I have been reading this site for years and only felt compelled to join to answer this post, Lucas does not need me to defend him, I am just so against how people who do not like certain things he did make him out to be a complete idiot when he in fact has given the world a great gift with star wars. It is just how people assume the whole world shares this opinion when in fact the majority of people actually like it. IMDB rating for Phantom Menace is 6.6 while thunderdome only gets 6.2. But guess what both of those films are my favorites, I love the Pod Race, for many of the same reasons I love fury Road, craziness and speed, and it is FUN. George Miller made all of my 4 favorite movies, but he also made Happy feet and Babe-total silly CGI stuff. George Lucas made all of my next 6 favorite films, both are great legendary artist, please just show him the respect he deserves as an INDEPENDENT artist. Sorry to get personal that is silly, it is just this site has been my last refuge of internet forums, free from that and to see it seeping in sort of alarmed me....sorry

I admit that greedo shoots first looks silly and was unnecessary, but most of the rest of the special edition stuff really does look cool and I love the Jabba in ep IV as it appears on the Blu Ray, it was terrible at first until they redid it. But most of it was done as an experiment to learn and test, and improve the CGI tech, and the whole film industry has benefitted from it, Fury Road was only possible because of the revolutionary technology that was funded and driven by George Lucas and ILM back in the 1990's.

so it is not that people who do not like it are wrong, they are fully entitled to hold an opinion, what I disagree with is the assumption that everyone agrees with that opinion, based on Blu Ray sales alone it is proof that Star Wars is much beloved, even the prequels, and seriosly if you have not seen the Clone Wars, especially season six, then really hold your judgement on what Star Wars was and became under GL, because those final episodes are some of the best thing from all of Star Wars .

just dont want this site to turn into something else, if you think the reboot/sequel debate here is ugly, it is not, by comparison it is very tame and logical, some SW fans are very vocal and obnoxious on both sides of the argument and make SW message boards unbearable to even lurk in.

Just heard Christopher Lee (Count Dooku) died today, he was a great actor and will be remembered forever because of his role in Star Wars.

First of all, I must confess you that I feel "THE FORCE AWAKENS" will be the "Fury Road" of the Star Wars movies... so expect terrific quality from the next installment.

Ok now onto the next issue, Uncle Entity, the question to ask is not whether FR IS or IS NOT a sequel, but rather CAN IT BE a sequel?, that is in the eye and mind of each fan, that is the beauty of GM, he doesnt force feed us the history, he lets us imagine our own, that is why you can watch these films over and over and always end up with more questions than answers. Let those who think it is a sequel enjoy it in their own way. Plus again there is that comic book out there suggesting a way things could match up.

seems like the change of actors is really hard for you to reconcile, you just have to imagine, in Iron Man Rhodey was played by Terrance Howard, in Iron Man 2 he was Don Cheadle, you just have to mentally reconcile because it is a movie.
