I live 20 minutes from This guy's shop in Md. He had an open house car show two years ago to actually get a look at his BOB since it has been a fascination of mine since I first saw Mad Max. I've been in the car scene for 25 years and was kinda burnt out on the whole car culture since the prices went through the roof. Anyways, I made an exception and was as excited as a pre-teen who saw a playboy magazine for the first time to actually see an Aussie Falcon for the first time ever.Back to the story, I met Andy and he was a very nice guy, and he gave me the whole "extra stunt car"story, knowing the real truth, I just played along and he let me sit in it. Real or not ,it is a excellent replica, and was something I will never forget.

Yeah, that was a funny project for the guys at www.madmaxcars.com to work on. Its A Grant and Gordon build, but the guy knew who to call when he needed a real working blower installed. Of course he keeps saying "The guys from California" when Mad Mad Cars is actually from Seattle Washington, and conveniently "forgot" to leave any mention of the company name in during editing except in the credits. Its a shame they cut in that misleading stuff trying to make people think it was screen used. We had several clear conversations about who built the car and when, so he knows what it really is. They certainly cut up all of the Mad Max Cars guys stuff and left a bunch out. Even though it was the usual reality TV BS, it was still a fun project.
