WB launched the official site too which is funnily enough http://www.madmaxmovie.com
It has the full press synopsis on there.
FURY ROAD COMIC CON TRAILER IS HERE!
Re: FURY ROAD COMIC CON TRAILER IS HERE!
I'm guessing the car rolling has to do with the tire being stuffed with rags to hold air.
Re: FURY ROAD COMIC CON TRAILER IS HERE!
I'm guessing the colorful aerial smoke bombs are a form of communication.
Re: FURY ROAD COMIC CON TRAILER IS HERE!
Max was about to be harvested for ... everything.

Well now we know Max's blood type after all of these years. The all important O-. It appears that blood has bcome synonomous with gasoline in this world.

I noticed they didn't remove the stunt cab in this shot. So still some work to do.

Re: FURY ROAD COMIC CON TRAILER IS HERE!
Ok, after watching it: here are some of my thoughts:
Surprisingly this felt more like MMBT (the final chase) than the RW. Maybe the cars are more on the RW side but the fact that they're escaping in a straight line with humans as 'cargo' makes me think of nothing but MMBT to be honest.
Cranked to 11. I like the attention to detail. I like that Max doesn't say a whole lot. The movie looks very stylized. I don't like the CGI tornados and an occasional overload of stuff happening at once and too fast (maybe that's the editing of this trailer though).
The plot isn't really revealed at all, all the ins and outs are left out - that's a good thing. I'm interested in what's going on in the Citadel and what kind of crazy ass car worship they have, along with borderline cannibalistic approach to human bodies.
I'm hoping there will be a throwback to what happened before all this madness instead of just throwing us into this reality without any explaination at all.
I'm hoping this movie won't suffer from the 'shakey cam & nervous editing' syndrome, because I honestly can't stand that. Also, the CGI...

The dust storm is my major concern. It just seems like too much. Again, I hope it works within the context of the story.Taipan wrote:I don't like the CGI tornados and an occasional overload of stuff happening at once and too fast (maybe that's the editing of this trailer though).
The quick edits is also a concern, and though it may be because it's a trailer edit, there was someone at the preview screening who said things moved too fast at times. And then there was Miller talking yesterday at SDCC about how modern audiences can see quicker edits and that he thought some scenes in the older movies were "languid". I just hope he didn't go all Michael Bay on us.
