It needs a proper restoration but what version should it be restored to? MM1 or 2? Also it will require an expert to oversee it's rebuild, any suggestions?

Wow, looks to me like the movie car and that they changed the headlight covers from the dark tinted ones that it had in the UK and prior to that after the "restoration".
Pic from the florida location from another thread. Note the same headlight covers...and same little whitish sticker in the windshield corner.
If I had the cash I'd try to buy it and restore it back to the post-filming MM2 condition except without the squashed fake scott hat. Though it is impossible to give it back that same exact post-filming character with the red dirt still on it that it had.

Ah i searched in my past, and it's right, when they restored it, they didn't realize mat black paint ! sorry !
Here is an old pic of mine when i was 20 ! Our favorite car traveled for UK to a Paris museum for an expo week, and i remember torturing my parents to have opportunity to see THE car of my dreams ! When i have seen it, it was as a turn in my little life !
Look at the smoked headlights and brilliant paint ...

Doug Doug Doug you disappoint me!
Look closely at the Scott injector in that photo... it NOT the same as the one shown in all the pictures of the restored car in England.
Stealing CleveXBs photo... (thanks!)
See the injector part is wrong and has multiple fuel lines along both sides....
Now compare it to the latest photo which shows the "correct" injector with just one fuel line!.
(Not to mention the car has the rear parcel shelf full of MM2 items).
So has the car been "restored" or is this a replica?

eh eh !

for sure, it was the real one ! I remember than it was Cars of the stars museum which was owning the car ; so at this date, in Europe, it was the only one !
Look at pics on the site, in section :
http://www.madmaxmovies.com/mad-max-int ... art-4.html
Pics are little but you can see multiple fuel lines on Scott hat ! ... and finding a Falcon in France, 17 years ago, modified in Black pursuit .... impossible !
Actually, in 2012, my 73 XBGT is the only one french registered and running on french roads !

For sure, it's not movie correct but it was on it !

No no ! I know the pic you put up is of the orginal car.
The car was restored incorrectly with the wrong injector with the mulitple fuel lines.
I am referring to the Deezer car, which now has the "correct" injector fitted.
There is also damage to the left front flare as well if one looks closely, (cracks and a white patch where the fibreglass has come away)

Thats ok...
I hope if its the orginal car they do a proper restoration on it and not stuff it up!
