If the negative reactions I'm reading in the Ain't It Cool talkbacks are any indication of general opinion, WB marketing has it's work cut out for it. They better cut one hell of a trailer.
I woudn't take the Ain't It Cool talkbacks too seriously, they are almost always notoriously negative.
Its an interesting comment George Miller makes about the Interceptor ''Without giving too much away, there is one that appears.''. Some of the spy reports had Max fighting on the truck during the chase scenes. It's possible he loses it earlier on.
That could explain why none of the spy pic have the Interceptor in it.

By the looks his right arm is torn of (as in Max 2 and 3) And he does seem to have some kind of leg brace on his left leg. No grey in his hair though... I'm trying to get a sense of when this is set. Pre Max 2, post Max 2 or even post thunderdome? He loses his jacket in Beyond thunderdome and doesn't have a leg brace in that movie, so I'm guessing it's set between 2 and 3 (and the grey hadn't been added in the recent on set photo!) Of course if it's a reboot or reimagining them all bets are off. Also interesting that Miller says no cameo for Mel. Does this mean no Mel at all (seems likely) or that he has a bigger role? Seems like he's not a part after all... And the interceptor makes an appearance in some form, (flashback?) Can't believe we've still got another 18 months until the release though.
It has been pretty well established and from Miller himself that Fury Road is a reboot of the Max story , it doesn't fit into the timeline of the first 3 movies because it is a whole new story
Miller confirms ( finally ) that Gibson has no role in the movie , Max is being played by Tom Hardy
We have seen pictures of a slightly different Interceptor in South Africa so we assume that it appears in the movie early on , there are reports from a couple of sources that it gets rolled over early on in the movie and is captured by marauders , only to appear later on heavily modified , we have photos of that version on set in Namibia

Still find the rolled and rebuilt story unbelievable. Rolled yes but I doubt they would rebuild a car and modify it during a chase. I think it starteed as an internet story not a report from a source.

Still not sure about this reboot thing. Fury Road was originally going to be shot with Mel Gibson and was essentially Mad Max 4. It did fit in the timeline in 2001 when they were going to film. Ten years later and Mel is to old, so they cast Tom Hardy. If it's a reboot then you've got the same interceptor and costume from over thirty years ago. There's no updating of it, which you would get with a reboot. It's odd to have this new story, then suddenly give Max his interceptor back, only to lose in again early on... A reboot by the same director which makes the other movies redundant?

There's supposed to be some big workshop in the movie. I can see the Interceptor getting rolled early in the movie and making an appearance when some time has passed. We also shouldn't jump to the assumption that, just because it gets rolled, it gets damaged to the level it did in Road Warrior.
The fact is we've seen the commissioned Interceptor replicas and we've seen the uncannily similar falcons in Nambia.

Well the costume and Interceptor is pretty synonymous with what you expect to be "Mad Max". They're iconic.
Even with Mel, Fury Road could of been a reboot. I mean you look at BTD and you could of looked at that as a "reboot" too. Although I say that and there's probably something in the film, other than Mel as Max, that ties it into the previous films to be a true sequel that I've forgotten...

You're right, but...

... my thoughts exactly. Besides, George Miller never spoke of a reboot about Fury Road.
