The black makes good camo for the cars and easier to hide in some shots and to edit out of shots , there are also cars with cameras mounted in them to get footage from " within the pack " , these are designed to blend in with the other vehicles
You never see shiny cars in the movies or TV , the stage lights reflect off them to much so they spray them with some stuff that gives them a matt or low sheen finish

Thought it may have been an editing, or reflection issue, but there's those big windshields. I assume they coat the windows with the non-reflective coating, too, though.

Would love to hear that from Furyroadcars!Taipan wrote:Nice observation there Wez 1968, but I believe none of the mechanics working on the film would allow for a 31 year old custom chasis (or rather what's left of it now) to be used in Fury Road. Safety first!
.... whatever happened to The Lone Wolf machine anyway?
Ive looked at many of the pipes in the engine not just the "air cleaner" and they match up with the Thunderdome version of the lonewolf car. I will humbly step down if Im wrong but it seems too much of a coincidence to not be at least a basis of the lonewolf car. I can accept that the chasis is not original but I still think this is the lonewolf car!

Here's a side by side comparison of the two, they do look similar. I flipped the image on the right to match the angle.

Re: Possible pictures of actual Fury Road vehicles
There are too many similarities between both vehicles, it has to be at least based on the MMBT lone-wolf car.
I guess I have to ask one question: Would they bother to keep the lone-wolf car for several decades and then have it reappear in MM4? I think the answer is yes, they most certainly would.

Although I admire your vision on linking the the Buick to the Lonewolf car, unfortunately all coincidental as far as I'm aware.
The Buick straight 8 body is on an F100 4WD chassis with a 351 Cleveland V8. Original F100 diffs, cut and lengthened. As far I know the Buick body was bought from a paddock because the shape was cool, so any styling cues shared with the thunderdome car is just by luck.

furyroadcars, do you have any idea of where that FJ holden 4 door with 6 painted on the side came from? It looks like a car that was sitting on a property in Macclesfield Vic a few years ago.
