]It is pretty much accepted that the rear tires were BF Goodrich T/A 50s on 15 inch rims as 14 inch 50s were very rare or non-existent. The question of the front rims has been debated with most accepting that they were also 15 inch rims.
However, I have always been of the opinion that the rears were 50 series 15s and that the fronts were 70 series on 14 inch rims. I base this on the front tires having no 50 or 60 markings after the T/A, which it would have had if they were 50 or 60 series, leading me to believe that they were in fact 70 series. Look at some of Dale's picture of the original during filming.

Then if the tires were 70 series on 15 inch rims then the tires would have been taller than the rear tires, which they were not. The only way to get 50 series and 70 series tires to have the same height or fronts slightly smaller is to run a size smaller rim on the 70 series tire. Couple that with the tricked out cars in the 70's generally ran 15 inch rears and 14 inch fronts then in my opinion it would have made perfect sense to run 50 series 15 on the back and 70 series 14s on the front.
Finally, the original BoB from MM2 has carried 14 inch front rims from initial sale after the movie, through restoration, and eventual sale to the Cars of the Stars. The same time period the car has kept the 12 slots from MM2 so it is safe to assume that the rear AND front rims are original to MM2 and only the rubber has been changed over the years. Looking at the picture above of the left front tire it is the exact same design as earlier BoB pictures and I have little doubt that they are the same rims and the car did in fact run 15in rears and 14in fronts.
