Interceptors spotted in Motor City

Post by Dmala »

These are user made "skins" for a game called Motor City Online (http://mco.ea.com). You drop them in the game directory, and they replace the existing paint job on the car. Other online players can't see the new paintjob when you do this, though. EA periodically "officially" adds user created paintjobs to the game, I'd imagine the Mad Max ones won't make it in due to copyright considerations and agreements with the auto manufacturers.

They appear about 1/2 way down the page. The black-on-black skin is for a 1970 Mustang model, and the yellow interceptor skin is for a 1970 Nova model. The image you see is the raw texture file for the 3D model. It's a little distorted, but you get the picture. I'll try to get some in-game shots if I can.

In addition to skins, the developers add content to the game in monthly updates. There has been talk about adding Aussie muscle cars to the game, at some point.

My bad, they shuffled the site around. Here's the working link:

The Interceptors are now right at the top.
