I think this is the Holden Rat Rod Ute (Circled in red) and looks like the rat rod on the trailer behind the corvette.

Correct you are. Though raising it was only a minor part of the work that it needed. Pretty much the only thing that was kept from how it was seen way back at the start was the body sheet metal. The chassis had to be reworked, complete new engine (though some parts like the blower were retained) and a heap of other work. Goes pretty well now though and sounds great. It's near impossible to see out of and a real handful to drive though, lol.

I agree, in MMII they had a red XA with a big bat on it, the red snake truck, and even a pink '59 Desoto with a guy driving it with a dyed pink beard!

They did seem to have a lot more vehicles in MMII with custom painted graphics and designs on them than this film.

In Fury Road they did keep with the theme of "a piece from here, a piece from there" very well though.

There should be a joke car with metal non car items used as protection i.e. cast iron central heating radiators, metal kitchen sinks or metal street signs!

Quite an interesting car. Anything that can look like that with a one tone frame has got my attention. After looking at some images of the kit car I now know where they got the nose for the car in "Corvette Summer". I may have a new favorite and I haven't even seen it in action!

We saw strange signs along the road and a few people that just seemed out of place. We kept driving and then we reached a mob of people and vehicles. We they were filming a movie. Burke saw one of the vehicles and instantly said they were filming the movie mad max. Apparently it's an old Mel Gibson movie that I haven't seen. The car on the set was huge and covered in spikes and had a fake dead body stuck on it. It looked pretty awesome. They made us drive through very fast so I didn't get to see any stars.

This is something I've run into a lot lately when I try to tell people about the new film. I'm astonished at the number of people who claim they've never even heard of Mad Max or The Road Warrior.

Haven't really encountered that myself. However, I've been scanning Mad Max related tweets for some time now and I'm surprised at the number of first time Mad Max viewers who call it boring or terrible. I'm even more surprised when they say that about MM2, although it's said about MM1 more often. Example: this tweet made a little over an hour ago.
