APOCALYPTIC MOTORS.....More new models & Re-Builds

Post by Barry Harker »

Hello Guys,

How have you all been.

It's been a long time since I posted any of my models on here. "and I can see you guys have been very busy with some excellent builds !

my job has kept me very busy this last year, but since giving that up and starting fresh....after a month long break !

i have had the chance to work on new models and repaint some older builds i wasnt happy with.

Ill start with the Road runner.
i never liked the look of the model when it was finished, and Ireally didnt like the wheels !

I new this model could look better, so I stripped it back. and started the rebuild.

once the rebuils was finished I wanted to give the model a heavy multi layer of paint, and decided on chrysler orange go mango over the shadowed undercoat.

once the first layer of grime was added.
it was time to really attack the car with lots of rust and dust to give it that abused well worn look, "something my new AZTEC Airbrush would excell in !"
this stage was a lot of fun !

Here is the 41 WILLYS COUPE/TRUCK.

never liked the original paint job i did on this model, or the Lego wheels.
now it looks a lot beeter with a re-paint and some wheels from a toy tractor !

Wow, incredible job on those, Barry! Your scratchbuilding, attention to detail and weathering are absolutely superb. I've gotta say I've really admired your work a lot, both what I've seen on here and on Madmaxmodels.com, the improvements you've made are awesome! Keep up the amazing work, I look forward to seeing what else you come up with :D

Glad to see you're back, Barry. I'd seen you post on Scaleauto, and thought you'd forgotten about us here.
