Any Takers?

Post by Aviator »

I cannot sell this stuff in NZ for whatever reason, there's just no interest here. Offering this lot for sale, the blower might be a prob shipping to Australia, or anywhere as the freight would be horrendous, but there's a genuine Dobros, etc... etc... I'll let the pic speak instead. I need money for a new guitar amp! Priorities!!!

Y not make an offer? Seriously You may be surprised! I am only looking to recoup what I paid initially which is nowhere near what I have seen others pay for similar items. The Blower shell and hat/scoop would be a logistical nightmare and costly in their own right to ship to Australia, but the gauge and other items will go cheap I am sure! PM me for pricing. The hat and scoop pictured are replica items for aesthetics only, there is no intake hole and some work remains to be done to figure a way of attaching the two together, presently the scoop just sits on the hat, and there are some welding burrs that need filing/finishing to make it look like a cast unit.

Close up of GENUINE gauge to show exactly how a Dobros looks compared to any other type. They are totally unique in style and construction.

Awesome stuff! I just picked up a 671 case off EvilBay for $57.00 and still have my original Scott unit and the Dobros gauge I got when I bought my first BoB.I am curious what you would want for the belt and ax pouch and if you could ship them to the US.They might not be very much weight for shipping. The splitter switch and even the harness plug for it can be gotten at any NAPA auto parts store very cheap.Cheers,Bill

Hi Bill, the only references I am using re pricing are what is being charged for similar items ex madmaxcars.com The switches $20 ea (cheaper), Gauge (based on madmaxcars pricing) $180 (a bargain considering it's an original hell-rare Dobros). And for the belt/ax pouch on it's own, I guess I could let that go for $150, which is about $50 less than I paid for the rig incl the can opener/knife and spanner ( the spanner being a very common and cheap item which can be got anywhere for a coupla bucks anyway). It was the hat/scoop that cost me the most...close to $1000 to have it made, which included several botched scoops. I am happy to let the scoop and hat go for $500...$600 incl the blower case. For everything pictured I'd like $1000 for the lot.
Cheers.

What happened to the interested parties? I really do need to sell this stuff! Don't take my pricing as gospel! Heck if there's anything you want please make me an offer!! Be reasonable though. There were several interested parties, who were messaging me/e-mailing, then it all stopped? If perhaps the prices have put you off, please by all means put an offer on the table of what you think is a fair and reasonable price and if I can work with it, I will!
Cheers.
