Fiberglass Body Kits

Post by Mitch »

Anybody have any experiences (good or otherwise) with the Mad Max Cars fiberglass body kits? I wanna put the Interceptor nose on the XB sedan, the front guards with the fender flares on the John Goss Special as well as the rear fender flares.

Then I need the sedan roof spoiler and the Holden fender flares. Anybody have recommendations for those?

OK then...

How about any other body kits? Recommendations or warnings?

I think i would go with MMC stuff as you can simply bolt on nose to your car and match them to seprate flares or go with complete front clip kit. Its always wise to go with how factory intended a car to be put together and come apart. As my Nose was handmade from steel and now i have no way to remove fenders for any kind of future body maintance etc.. And there prices are better than now than what anyone seemed to offer 10years ago of mabey even now. Oh and you can choose to get there kits made in differnt (better) composite material.

Looks like I'll be getting the MMC kit then. Thanks to all for the posts and messages. Anybody else ever put an Arcadipane nose on a sedan? I wanna make an MFP K9 car. Been wanting to for awhile, but every time I get started, I get sent overseas or something. Hopefully I can get this finished before the new Mad Max movie, although that may be a moot point...

Oh yeah, how hard is it to get Torana flares and a roof spoiler? It isn't the same as the coupe spoiler, is it?

I'm in the US. St. Louis, Missouri. I heard the flares on the sedan were from a Torana? No...?

What about the roof spoiler? Coupe or different?

Thanx

Torana Sedan flares will need a lot of work to fit.....

The roof spoiler for the sedan and coupe are the same item, the sedan spoiler isnt cut down to fit, whereas the coupe spoiler was cut down and glassed on.
It came from the same mould.

i know a lot of kit makers have two totally different roof spoilers, but only because they have either taken two seperate moulds from a sedan and coupe, or made the spoiler themselves.

If your in the USA, for the sake of costs and possible damage intransit, best to source a kit within the USA.
