Love it.
You can see the St. Andrew's on the roof. The CB arial should have been mounted on the rear deck lid up where it meets the dutchman panel. I also noticed the chrome strip that runs around the base of the C-pillar is not there. The hero car was originally a vinyl top car. And the little rectangular reflectors on the fenders and quarter panels have been removed and filled. This car is beginning to look like a clone from the movie instead of the TV show. The movie car had them removed and filled so they could used redressed '68's and '70's for the more damaging stunts because suitable '69's are getting scarce and expensive. The hero car in the film also had a Hemi. The series hero was implied to be running a 440.

Now I'm getting the itch for a Charger... ;)

No shit there's a flag on the roof LOL

But I'm talking about the flags originally painted between the rear window deck lid. Only the pilot episode car had them I believe.

They must have been on there for the pilot episode only because they weren't there during the normal series run. I've seen many clones at shows over the years, including cars actually used for filming(the VIN's have been recorded) and have never seen that. But then I'm not a hard-core Duke's fan. You think we Mad Max fans are eccentric? You have no idea.

From the angle of the engine pic, I could see it was a 440 or at least an RB block. There is raised pad for the engine numbers on the front of the block to the right of the distributor. This is only on the RB engines, 413, 426 Wedge and Hemi, 440, and the rare one year only 383RB from the early 1960's. This raised pad is clearly visible in the pic. The low-deck, or 'B' engines, don't have this. B's include 350, 361, 383, and 400 inch displacement. The B's have a one inch lower deck height and are a bit narrower as a result. Both engine families came with forged steel crankshafts from the factory until the early mid '70's. Cylinder heads will interchange as well as cam shafts, timing chain, oil pumps, valve train(except for pushrods), and accessory drives, but not much else.

Should have filled the holes or just left the chrome on. They're a bit pricey for what they are, at least on this side of the pond. Neither one is an R/T or an SE. They're both factory 383 cars, but the 69 is a 2-barrel, non AC, column-shift car. It will also have the smaller 10" drum brakes all around. The '70 is a factory 4-barrel, Tor-Red, AC, console car. And it $10K cheaper. The '70 is the better optioned, more desireable car. The interior hasn't been mucked with. I'd lose the orange paint and get it back to it's proper hue. The only thing the '69 really has going for it is it's a popular year. It'd be a good General clone or a good street fighter. But the '70 has a lot more going for it going in.

I'd also want to check out either car in person. Chargers had a lot of rust issues around the rear glass, especially at the bottom corners. Trunk floors and tail panels were also a problem. You can see this on the '69 with most of the bottom window trim missing and the trim on the '70 appears to be slightly askew.
