Gulag

Post by MFP 2020 »

We need a giant Mardi Gras mask. Maybe even a horse. Any of you industry type know a good local source?

Hell, I'll make it out of papier mache an chicken wire if I have to.

If you're trying to do an impression of Max during his Gulag scene, I think you're better off making a mask yourself. I don't think you'll find a mask that's too similar to the one he wore, and not sure if you'll find a mask at all. I can ask at Western costume next time I'm there. You may want to call up some prop houses as well, since it's one of those items that might fall into either category. The Hand Prop Room is the one I've heard of the most.
What is this for, anyway? Mardi Gras? I'm wondering why it's in this forum.

What the...? I must have been messed up on prescription meds when I wrote that, because I have almost no recollection of writing it. And I supposedly wrote it yesterday? I'm a little freaked right now. On the other hand, it's very unlike me to have not one but two typos in a post.

Actually, there WAS a wheel at Road Warrior Weekend. It wasn't totally film accurate, but I think it had all (or most) of the correct stuff from the movie written around it, and it was pretty cool. I'm sure there's pics of it around somewhere.
