I don't know if it has been mentioned here, but there is a movie car database too: http://www.imcdb.org/
I'll leave it up to other members to check the accuracy of the MM/RW/BT info.

Thanks, I made a wire rod that you could operate the xbow with the same hand. The guy shooting the xbow is from Norfolk - enough said!!

When driving the bike, the wire trigger sits proud of the fingers allowing you to grip the hanlebars. when time to shoot, you lift the hand off the bars and then hook them over the triger and squeeze when ready. It is cool to shoot with just on hand and after some practice, we got pretty accurate with these babies!

Interesting damage, but wouldn't the gun go downwards during that blast? Looks like the blast went up out the top of the chamber.Biker wrote:Hey folks,
WONDER WHAT THAT LOAD WAS!
A guy came into our department the other day to ask a favor. He had a S&W 629 that he wanted to dispose of after a mishap at the range. He said there was a loud bang when he tested his new load and the gun smacked him in the forehead, leaving a nice gash. When the tweety birds cleared, this is what he saw.....

Re: Mad Max Movie Guns
It depends on the weapon. Single-actions tend to do the bend when they ka-boom. The frame on the double-action revolver is a bit stouter. It looks like the shooter/amateur-reloader either misread the charge scale, tried to go "just a bit hotter" and exceeded the powder charge weight, or accidently double-charged the case. To be fair, the double-charging happens to even experienced reloaders. But it is usually caught during a visual inspection before seating the projectile. There are some smokeless powders that burn at the same speed rate as TNT, about 28000 feet per second. These kinds of speeds will shatter concrete and cut steel. It's almost in the plastic explosive range. Accidently double-charge a case with them and this type of blow-up will occur.PursuitSpecial wrote:Interesting damage, but wouldn't the gun go downwards during that blast?
