We're all set for Road Warrior Weekend!

Post by Karol »

We are all set for the weekend. We have our permit, insurance, security, stage, DJs and everything! This is really going to happen! (The only thing we may/may not have is an extra large tent/pavilion for us to gather in at night.)

We have Alan & Karen Potter from Australia, and Vernon Wells & Virginia will be there on Saturday during the day. Paul Miller will be bringing his interceptor, and we'll have a gyrocopter. I'm sure there will be tons more vehicles, but I just haven't heard from anyone recently to confirm 100%.

A bit of sad news: it seems like Dee Vyper & Dave "Humvee Driver" may not be coming due to serious last-minute issues.

That really sucks about Dave and Dee. Fingers crossed that they can make it.

I will be there with a dirt bike that, if I can solve a final engineering challenge by tomorrow, will be familiar to some.

I just got a last minute confirmation from Lizzy, that I'm being recruited for "volounteer duty". I'll be out there Friday afternoon/evening depending on how early I can duck out of work.

It's awfully quiet in here...
I'm heading off to Soggy in a few hours. Wow - prep took way longer for me than I thought. So many things to get done.
See you in the wasteland!

You're not kidding. I need another day or two (or realistically, a week) to get all of the stuff done I wanted to. Where did the time go?!
Anyway, I'll be finishing some stuff up in the morning, so I won't get there by noon. But I hope to be there well before the sun goes down on Friday.

Friday morning, I'm leaving work at 12, should take me about 2 hours to get there. All the proof I have is a copy of my correspondence with Lizzy. I didn't hear back after the last e-mail.
Wonder what I'm in for? I'm half excited, half anxious.
