That's the idea... if some of you were wondering why I reverted to a "clay rendering"roadwarriormfp wrote:Amazing.... looks like a big clay model!
It's to have better sight of the main lines & surfaces, it's way easier to spot defaults than with the MFP deco over it.

Sure..Cueball wrote:Looking great, could you post some wires?
I had to display the body as Nurms smoothed, coz if I don't its not so nice...

The body in itself is around 9000 polys, there been a lot of chamfering
almost every groove & sharp corners have been.
with tight values for metal parts, and more relaxed for the fiber parts, like the air dam & flares
And the scene is around 60.000 polys without the mesh-smoothing

Re: Big Boppa 3D (WIP)
looks pretty darn spot on in the body.
In the clay render my eye is caught by what is missing behind the wheels.
You can see too much daylight through the wheel spokes.
A brake drum behind the rear wheels and a disc behind the fronts would be a small add and would help a lot visually.
Of course, if you are planning to dumb it down to a 1Kpoly for a real time game engine then forget it.
Nicely done!

Thanks Bozz

Here's a little road companion for the XB
I started this one a couple of days ago, while rendering the Falcon sedan.
I've still got some issues with the windshield base line, and chromed fairings are reflecting too much black, but I
thought I could show you a little glimpse of the Pursuit Special...to be
It's not yet movie accurate, no air-dam or markings, got a chromed bumper, a flaked paint job & such ...just a little (parallel) work in progress.
Yeah there's nothing under body yet, same for behind the rimsBozz wrote: A brake drum behind the rear wheels and a disc behind the fronts would be a small add and would help a lot visually

Damn!
Great work!

Here I am tryin' to make sence out of it when I know there isn't any.
Re: Big Boppa 3D (WIP)
Great models, I really like the Monaro. Would you consider making one outfitted with the police lightbar as spotted in the MFP garage?

Yep, that's the plan, with the litghtbar ...and bolt-on wheel flares, although I haven't found one single pic of the HQ except within the garage scene where you can see them clearlyCryptman wrote:Great models, I really like the Monaro. I started a thread for the Monaro in the models section...
Being quite new to this board myself I have just found a couple of threads posted by Wayne, an Aussie graphic artist that has done some outstanding work on MM vehicles including the Monaro
