Special thanks to Grant and Gordon

Post by aussie muscle »

While visiting a friend in WA, Gordon Hayes invited us to drop in while i was there and check out his BoB. He was even nice enough to start it up and drive it outside into the rain (he said it needed a wash). Anyway, i just wanted to thank Gordon and Grant putting up with us drooling over his cars and letting us sit in it. You guys are great, and that 460cu v8 sounds amazing!

Gordon's car in the rain. You can see the exhaust condensing above the zoomies.

Awesome... you not only had the chance to sit in the interceptor, but also meet the man I have been wanting to meet since I first had contact with him.

Grant Hodgson and Gordon Hayes build replicas of both the Mad Max and Mad Mx 2 versions of the Black Falcon and the Yellow Big Bopper Falcon and Max's yellow'Interceptor Falcon. They have built quite a few replicas over the years and Hayes was one of the first to actually build a replica of Mad Max's Pursuit Special black on black.

But you don't have to go all the way to Perth to see a BoB, hehe. There's one in almost every state. Nelson in NSW, Scott in VIC, Adrian in SA, Last-V83 in NT. And Nelson could probably correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the guy that bought Pagey's car in Queensland?

I've probably missed a couple, but you get the idea.
