Any news at all on MM4?
I'm a tad suprised that when I recently posted the scenario for MM4 it turned into a discussion about light tanks ... go figure ...

Speaking of which...
Anybody over in Oz know of an old WWII M3 Stuart tank lying around for sale? I hear there's heaps of them...

We have any news about "abort" MM4?

Enough about MM4. It ain't gonna happen, and I don't much care even if it did unless the filmmakers did something to blow my socks off.
Back to the Stuarts. Anybody have any leads? Or do I have to go to Brazil? Anybody know what I'm going on about?

Hey "dude".. This thread is about Fury Road, not a couple of f**kin' Stuarts. . Start your own thread about that sh*t and get off of this one.Quote: Originally posted by Mitch on 23 May 2006

Now, back to the discussion about MM 4. Fury Road might be a silent/ secrative project. Too many infiltrations from outsiders. That kind of sh*t happened to Die Hard 3. There were plot stealers which came out with Speed and Blown Away and several other films. Secretive projects are the best because the film crew doesn't have to worry about Media entertainment shows that stick their f**kin' noses where it doesn't belong and causing an abnormal amount of hype. Who knows.

And bring the thread nealty back to Stuart tanks... I saw a Sherman tank the other day up near the beaches at Normandy must have been dug out of the ocean the maount of pitting it had suffered on it's plates. I've always liked the Stuart tank though made a Tamiya kit of one as a kid and preferred it to any other tank... except the German King Tiger of course.
What plans have you got for the Stuart if you ever lay your hands on one Mitch? MFP heavy response vehicle?
... Speaking of heavy responses RW lighten up willya! I don't know what other forums you frequent but here at the Mad Max forum it's runs pretty loose, it's not so regimented that we have to keep to a subject of a thread. Some exceptions are made given the amount of time the poster has been a member here and the amount of posts that person has under his belt that determines just what they can get away with. Z is limited to the play pool section, of course.
As regards the MM4 film set being so secretive no one knows it's actually being shot etc (if that's what you're saying) Then I have to cough and say "bullsh*it" under the cough. MM4 is dead before it even got to the water let alone IN it. Mel is too wrapped up in his own affairs to film it, he's too old and lastly can't see any real gain for himself to be in front of the camera anymore, preferring to direct his slant on religeous history around the world in his films.
I AM prepared to eat a huge slice of humble pie should MM4 ever hit the cinemas but I feel confident that this is just another hoped for film. Put it this way; there's more chance of seeing Elvis crash a UFO into the Loch Ness Monster than MM4 being filmed.
I have spoken. We (the fans) lost out, deal with it.

There it is...I knew you were a Hollywood Screen Writers Guild member!

I saw a B&W film of a 60 metric tonne Tiger II crossing swampland...then speeding up to 50kph on a bumpy gravel road...all without spring supension...all torsion tubes!...unreal!!! (bloody krauts and their fanatical engineering and attention to detail)
I've got a video of a home made tank (tracked dune buggy with a mid mounted 350 chev)
that might be a cheaper alternative Mitch!..it's pretty cool...it demolishes a house!

I thank you OHC (accepts the academy award and bows to the audience forgoing the tearful speech he had prepared.)
Yep Torsion tubes were preeeeetty clever ideas to use, but after all it's just a spring laid out in a straight line rather than coiled. Think about how a spring actually does what it does as it's compressed, same principle... it twists. My mate had an old Morris Marina back in the early 80's the front suspension was torsion bars running parallel and just under the door sills. It's kinda hard to get the head around the idea of a straight spring.

Sorry Biker. I'm pretty rough around the edges. I'll work on my attitude. Mitch started it and I finished it. But, if you say that things run loose and deviate, no worries. Sorry Mitch man. Speaking of deviating, what's this Mad Max Beyond No Tomorrow thread I read about on this site a couple of months ago? Never heard of it.
