Has anybody else found this site ? It seems to me like a huge THUNDERDOME MAD MAX 3 party in the NEVADA desert . In the image section of photos theres a photo of a naked woman drivin a imitation rocket car , a guy in a sort of buggy that max had at the start of max 3. It looks like a large bunch , and I mean huge group of people just vegin out with no real cause but to be there . Have a look it gave me a bit of a chuckle .
I survived the overnighter days .

Things been going on for a few years now(well over 5 I think). It definately has a lot of Mad Max influence especially one part where they have a small Thunderdome.

It's gotta be going on for like 15 years!

Started out as a "neuvo-pagan ritual" for hippies and artists...then things grew and changed...

The art's gotten bigger...(saw a documentary about this one artist whom set up an enormous urinial made of paper an wood out on the salt flats......which the hippies then proceeded to destroy!!!!ImageImageImage...cost him thousands personally!

there's plenty of more sites out there about it...

despite all the anarchism, they're smart enough and disiplined enough to clean up every scrap of garbage before they go....otherwise they'd never be allowed back!

I went back in 2001 right before 9/11. It was very surreal. Lots of people who wouldn't be considered 'normal' back in civilization were the norm out there. Very inspiring and a great venue to express yourself with big projects that you can't get away with in the city.

You have to bring everything in with you and bring it all out again. No water/food is provided, you bring your own shelter, etc and you have to burn/pack out all you trash. Only facilities are portapotties. Oh yeah, you can't buy/sell anything, only barter.

I recommend it for anybody at least once.

Can someone give me a link? I'd like to see the vehicle pics.

Umm, yeah...

Seems like I painted flowers on a girl's nipples one hot afternoon out on the playa. The whole left brain/right brain war was going full tilt. Part of my mind was concentrating on doing a good job, getting nice, even coverage with the liquid latex, keeping the flowers symmetrical, etc.

The other half of my brain was yelling "Do you realize you are resting your hand on a 22 yr old girl's right breast?!!! Helloooo?!!!"

She was from New Orleans, a waitress/art student/model, very affectionate and maybe a little strung out on X. I had to keep tabs on her for most of the day as she was convinced I was gonna make her pancakes. Asked about them every 5-10 minutes or so. All day. Showed up at our camp around 9AM with nothing but a pair of sunglasses, an empty water bottle, a fork, sandals, a bikini bottom and a sarong around her waist. Was somewhat lucid, but didn't know where her friends were or where she came from. I finally located her friends around 11 that night and reunited her with her 'tribe'.

Like I said, you should go at least once in your life...

The vehicles are pretty cool too. Do a search on 'Carthedral'.

What has become of the true MM fans! WE should be organizing a full-on visit/ Road War II on this event !

Bring your car! and have some fun with the hippies!

Film it all and we could make our own Fury Road.
