AGH! It looks like something out of Buckminster Fuller's nightmares. Needs more combat gear on it and some black paint...then it might look cool...lol.
I bought a 1:18 diecast of the Tumbler Batmobile and am looking at heavily modifying it with a MACK-style bullbar and turning the wheels around and moving them back with a whole slew of other ideas...another winter project. I'm thinking of a Outback Red, Rust, Hull Red and Black camo scheme. But those huge tires would churn up a lot of Devil Dust though...

Hi Gunslinger, far from off the mark you are right on the mark, the military are always doing things that we never expect. Interesting in that they used some NASCAR people as well.
A good story, Now we just need such a thing to look "Hollywood" cool.
And to Bronze 21 yes please modify the Tumbler, because I (and I am sure many others)would love to see the vehicle presented a bit more Mad Maxish.

I'm looking at shortening the wheelbase, which means redesigning the greenhouse, and making the wheels and steering "traditional" or exposed in their setup. Then I'm looking at adding the armoured plating across the front end and extending past the front corner of the wheels for protection from impacts.
...probably just be easier to sketch it up...I'll see what I can do.

why why why why why why why (rips hair out.) why is it when this movie came out everyone dubbed it the mad max mobile....why is it whenever some yahoo on the net glue two cars together he has to paint the words "mad max" on the side. i'm sorry everyone but i'm sick of it.
it insults the movies when someone sticks two cars especialy american cars together and calls them mad max you may say "yeah but in mad max 2 they cusomized vehicles so it's warrented." wrong wrong and sooo wrong if you make cars that are actualy form the movie then yeah i will allow it but just claiming your cars mad max because it's several cars in one does not a road warrior make.
there were millions of works before mad max came along with amalgamatd cars but you never see a race car with chicken welded on top called "death race 2000." or "car wars 2035" (ask you grand dad on the last one.)
we need to stop really i look at the bat mobile from "batman begins" and i don't think ohhh lookie mad max i see a really ugly army vehilce fit only for bat man. and this comign form one of the biggest mad amx fans on earth ( i am currently 3d modeling every mad max and mad max 2 vehilce for corn sake.)
so stop the insanity please.

Car Wars 2035... Now that takes me back to 80's, when RPG were played with paper and pencils and you had to do your own math.
Steve Jackson games were some of my favs from the days before advanced video games.
