You mean: "van der Meer" and "van Vogelzang". Literaly those names mean "from the lake" and "from birdsong".
Almost al wooden shoe factories are closed here. Most typical dutch thing are now more abrought. The people that left the Netherlands years ago are preserving the culture, while we don't. (not completely. We stil preserve things. But not our way of life)

"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
