WORLD WAR III - AND MAD TIMES POSSIBLY AHEAD

Post by May-Swaisy »

Its scary,

Cause of America sticking their noses where it doesn't belong, Russia is on Nuclear Alert.

And I would take it seriously, Yelstin is an unstable man who acts like he has a lot of Vodka a day mixed with Mul.

The way his health is he probably won't be alive for too long. And if he shoots a heap of nukes then whats he got to lose?

If he hits the US with a volley of nukes, the US will be very stupid to respond since their counter-attack will contamiate alot of Europe, mainly US-allies. Angering more of Europe.

Don't kid yourself Russia is still very very very capable. I happen to know someone who lives in Russia and was in the Military.

Russians are more than happy to go to War with the US.

To recover lost pride mainly.

And what relevence does this have to Mad Max?

Well look , MM2 - MM3...After a World War.

Everyone get your cars, bumless leather pants, arrows, flamethrowers, guns! reptiles, giro-copters, boomerangs and metal gloves, crossbows, dogs, monkeys, pigs, children, funny areoplanes, underground houses, methane, gasoline and a humungus one.

Sure Russia still hates us a whole lot but they're not going to start WW3 for the hell of it. Many people don't realize that the post-apoc. movies like Mad Max are completely false when it comes to nuclear war. Not everyone will die but the survivors won't kill each other either. Sooner or later they will realize that the only way to survive is with an organized society. And that's pretty much the situation in Russia now. Yeltsin may be drunk but he's not stupid. There would have to be a very very good reason to launch even one nuke. So don't get your panties in a bundle.

I think we should be more concerned about little hot-headed contries like Iraq or N. Korea. They aren't major playors but can or do have the capacity to go nuts.

I don't think the idea of man against man as in Max is completely false. My feelings are that people would be scared enough in the beginning to do anything to survive until a transition period is made...

if Y2K isn't an entire bluff, it will be a good test to see how we all stick together without having to be brutal enough to pillage to survive.

The trouble with fallout

I hate to break this to you champ, but in the very unlikely event Russia went

insane and launched a few thousand nukes at the US, even if the US didn't

fire back a single shot, enough fallout would permeate the jet stream, so that

it doesn't matter where you live, you're scewed. So, with the US firing back a few

thousand nukes of their own, guess what? we'd all be glowing in the dark.

Hmm.. No, I disagree. I'm not worried about a nuclear war, even on a small scale.

I think a greater and more realistic risk, would be from a terroristic attack.

I think within ten years or so, a US city is going to be leveled by either germ warfare

or a nuke, planted by some fanatical crazies.

If you want to survive a nuclear war you better live underground for about 20 years so all of the nuclear residue is dispursed from the atmosphere. Even after about 20 years all surface water and other things will be radioactive considering the amount of radiation they recieved. So find a good source of underground water and make sure you have enough stored food.

Hope to god your not in a missle destruction radius or your toast.

But for a reality check, it is going to take a lot to get one country to fire a nuke. Cause everybody knows the consequences.

In reality, bio weapons are a lot more effective at killing and a lot cleaner.
