What could be Max's new vehicle?
THUNDERDOME's JUNKMOBILES were definitely the greatest ones (much more faster than the previous vehicles, INTERCEPTOR apart) but I think Max will drive a muscle car in the upcoming sequel --- or maybe a revitalized version of the LAST V-8 just to make full circle in the iconography.
What's about BIKES !!!! Do you imagine it? Max Rockatansky on a powerful "Junk" cycle !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COOL!

i don't think you could get any faster than the HUMUNGUS MACHINE, that even kicked INTERCEPTOR arse.

If Fury Road has "Ricers" in it, I'll Boycott.
I speak profesionally when I say that they WILL NOT HOLD UP to the harsh conditions seen in even the first movie.
My favorite thing about the Mad Max series is the realism (at least of the first two. T-dome got a little unreal for my tastes, but was still highly entertaining)
Other than the On/Off switch for the Supercharger and whole Post Nuclear thing, there is no Science Fiction in these science fiction movies.
There is only what we SEE.
That said, we have to think which is more likely a setting for Fury Road.
1. A prequel. set before MM1 or in-between MM1 & MM2 or MM3
In-between MM1 & MM2 would have soem very nice machines in the beginning stages of their "Road Warrior" modifications. An interesting idea, IMO.
2. A replacement for the Third chapter, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. There are many who believe the series went off track with this one. Perhaps Miller would want to change History (as Gregory Widen Did with Highlander 2)
In the case of Highlander 2 this was a good thing, but in the case of MM3, I don't think so. BTW, I don't think there should have been ANY sequels to HIGHLANDER)
If this were the case, Junkmobiles. Perhaps a little more business like, less silly (the Cow Car? Arg) Have the folks who competed in Junkyard Wars/Scrapheap Challenge and Full Metal Challenge design the vehicles.
3. A Fourth Chapter. A year or two after Max's visit to Bartertown.
Again another variant of the hand built dune buggy/off road vehicle built from.. well, JUNK.
Powered by Liquified Coal, propane, gasoline, alcohol, vegitable oil*.. Who knows?
Max's car should vaguely resemble either the "Flamin Aussies" or "Law Dawgs" teams' vehicles from FMC.
One interesting idea, would be Wind powered vehicles. Obvioulsy not for any High Speed Chase use, but perhaps as background transportation...
(*This was not a joke. A regular customer of ours drives a VW Rabbit pickup powered by a modified Diesel engine running on CORN OIL)

Nope. never seen that one..
They did "Land Yachts" on Junkyard Wars once.
That's what gave me the idea.

(lower to the ground with a conventional Axle setup)

(My favorite, except it needs a pasenger seat and a more business-like paint job)

What could be Max's new vehicle?
Hi people loner here, like the rest of us i've been wondering what Max will drive next, I personaly doubt it will be anything hi-tech, when you think about it the Mad Max saga involves the decline of society & the resultant complex machines, MM3 ended with Max on foot & the new age inhabitants knowning that they had many many years to go before they could regain some sembalance of the world that was, presumably MM4 will continue with this theme if so the sudden appearence of vehicles with advanced eletronics/drivelines etc would not fit the established pattern.
Remember in MM3 Max appeared to be some where in his early 40's & in the MM1 novel he was 25, in the MM3 novel if I remember correctly it was stated that around 20 years had lapsed since the atomic war so that would have made him around 45 or so therefore If MM4 is set around 15-20 years after MM3 then Max will be at least in his late 50's & as any Anthopoligist knows given state of society shown at the end of MM3 it would take considerably more than 20 years for the people of the new age to regain ANY level of technical advancement.
So my guess is that the machines in MM4 including Max's ride will be along the lines of MM3, basic stripped down off road types capable of giving much work with little repair & that the social setting will also be along the same lines

Loner (Andy?) is definitely RIGHT! Max was 45 in THUNDERDOME, and I guess in FURY ROAD he will be about 52-55 (Mel appears considerably older than how he did in THUNDERDOME).
I doubt there will be "complex" vehicles in MM4, because too much time was passed by since the Pox-Eclipse. I think they will follow The Junkmobiles line, and it would be a guilty pleasure !!!!!!!!

Miller is truly *PROUD* of THUNDERDOME, so like it or not, the MOVIE events OCCOURRED! No "Highlander" effect, then. THUNDERDOME is considered the best of the saga here in Europe and somewhere in America, so I don't think Miller is such an asshole to forget the best he did.
I'm sorry for you Prophans.
Hey Loner, if you're really ANDY, you have to update the link for my site:
