BABY MAX ...

I was chatting with one of my students about the 'joys' of childbirth. He is studying scriptwriting.

I nearly fell over when he told me that he'd named his son Max because "He came out sucking Nitros ..."

It just occured to me that maybe I should have posted this under 'You know you're obsessed'!!!!

Yes, but was he born at St George's Hospital, as used by crispy Jim Goose in the original Mad Max? I mean, I know my son was, why accept anything less!

Actually, I'm not that obsessed (honest!), it just happened to be the closest hospital to where I lived. I didn't even realise it was the same hospital until the next time I saw the film after having been there. You all believe me, right?

A person who runs the preeminent Mad Max/Road Warrior website COULDN'T be accused of being obsessed with the movies! LOL! So is your son named Sproggle?

Now if I went to that hospital, you could accuse me of being a bit obsessive. The commute from Missouri to NSW is a bit hard to explain to the insurance company...

Especially as it would still leave you about 800kms short of the hospital in VICTORIA.

Yeah, but the point of the commute would be to see NSW. I can get admitted to the hospital in Victoria AFTER I visit. That's the part the insurance company might not understand. LOL!

Think they'll go for it?

You come all the way from Australia to Springfield, MO? What in the world could be in Springfield that your employer has to send you across the Pacific to a small Missouri town?
