You might be aware of the Mad Max 40th Anniversary crowdfunding event that showed up on social media earlier this month.
We cannot in our heart of hearts endorse this project.
After doing extensive research we found out that its organizer - Eric Nyenhuis (pretending to be someone else under Max MG Rockentansky profile) has been involved in multiple controversies and scams over the years:
1. He pretended to be on the Australian Director's Guild, for which he was called out on:

3. Attempted to restart women's wrestling "GLOW" franchise along with an event which he left before the show's end in an apparent attempt to avoid paying people:

4. He partially owns "Shocker Toys' that is supposedly delivering officially licensed Mad Max toys for the 40th Anniversary event. "Shocker Toys" also have a long history of controversy and not delivering products.

5. Bullied the Australian Pinup community which led to two of the tree female leads in "Cars and Dolls" to leave the production:

On top of that we have contacted a long list of key and trusted Mad Max community figures to share their experiences with Eric Nyenhuis and the stories we heard were very alarming. We've collected too much evidence of Eric's lies to not trust this project and we are worried that the list of victims (including cast and crew as well as dedicated fans) might get longer.
This post is merely informative. We deeply care about the Mad Max community and we feel it is our duty to let everyone know about this project.
